Does killing the Adamantoise in under two minutes increase your chances of getting a platinum ingot?

@galti111 It does not in the sense that your hypothetical chance of 10% goes up to 75%. The drop rate is still the same no matter how fast you kill it. It does increase it in the sense of the amount you can kill in a certain time frame. So my chances are greater if I killed 20 in 5 minutes as opposed to 5 in 5 minutes.

I hate sazh so much, I refuse to use him I use Vanille/Hope/Fang to get ingots and Traps... But normally I use Light/Hope/Fang but I can't overpower the dame over grown turtle so I have to keep casting death on them... That's how I do it and I also don't bother with the edilons/aeons/summons x

@iamowe1992 yeah, YOU DO get traps this way. However, it's a rare drop at 1%. The purpose of this vid was to learn how to kill the turtle.

I have a question regarding your Paradigm decks, the first 4 are great ideas, but you don't mention anything about he last two, and I noticed that you don't use them in the fight. Are they open for the personal preference or do you have suggestions or some insight on what you have setup there?

@iamowe1992 Dude, the Trapes are a rare drop. In order to get them without dishing out 2mil gil on a single Trape in the store, you have to kill these things. Get with the program, already.

or you could just use vanile's death ability start the fight summon her eidolin to make the toise fall then spam

if you want to save gil then don't bother useing the shroudes, use the death technique. to increase the chances of death hitting make sure vanille has the upgraded mallabro wand or whatever its called, fang, and a syn who knows villagince. call in the summon and instantly use the y/triangle and have fang pump all her status effects on it while you spam death. it hits before the thing stands up 80% of the time for me. if it does stand up just retry.

@TigerfangNN are you mad b/c you cant beat an Adamantoise ??? Last I check people who can beat them without Vanil's Death aren't noobs. When you beat the game with maxed CP characters the only thing left to do is Gill/Trapz farming.

ok so i've been doin this.. and i'm at stage 10 crystarium.. and max t2 weps.. both fang and sazh have 20k hp light is at 18k.. and i cant do it... he comes up before the 3rd set of blitz....

@CyberThechSlifer Well that depends on what chapter you are on. if you made it to what I think is chapter 10, you can farm the beast waiting just outside of the mines. You can always surprise attack them. Honestly though, I wouldn't worry about CP farming, cause you'll get all that you need framing for traps. Tell me what chapter you are on, and I will see what I can do. Keep in mind it has been awhile since I last played this game.

@CyberThechSlifer i know a good one, chapter 13 orphans cradle, before you fight barthaleous and orphan theres a monster that gives 32k cp a kill, kill time about 1.4min

because at Mission 55 (neochu) i used death + Malboro Wand (tier2) and it takes 50% of his health with only death but not dead and its summoned pikochu's (or what the name is)

Shrouds: Fortisol and Aegisol, but you only need Fortisol.

Sazh Has: Hyades Magnums (From Pleiades Hi-Powers) Energy Sash and Power Glovex2

Lightning Has: Ultima Weapon ( From Lionheart) Aurora Scarf, Collector's Catalog and Energy Sash

Fang Has: Venus Gospel (From Taming Pole)  Energy Sashx2 and Champion's Badge

@jinjishu i found a way to get lots of trapezohedrons!

you just need a fully upgraded kain's lance or nirvana then dismantle it and then you get 3 trapezohedrons each plus some blossom seeds which pay for the amount you spent for upgrading.

@qwertyuioplll Well platinum ingots are classed as normal drop so the only way to boost it is equipping the collector's catalog. Having more than one won't stack the effect and I believe having the connoisseur equipped it will hurt its chances because it will increase the chance of the rare drop which is a trapezohedron.

Also know that when I was farming I would farm for at least 2 or 3 hour sessions, usually while a movie is on. So it's not fast. It is all about how lucky you are with drops..
