I have nine chickens and live in a very rural area with plenty of coyotes and foxes, and have never had a single chicken so much as scared by one of them. Why? Two reasons: I'm not a jack ass and I properly secure their coop at night so that nothing can get in. And when they are out in my yard I have my border collie and my sisters german shepherd out there to deal with any trouble.

This shit is on Animal Planet? Seriously, if you have to get rid of a fox, just quietly and calmly walk up to it and shoot it and quietly say a prayer for it. But all you really have to do to protect your chickens is lock them in the coop at night. If you want to trap and relocate, do so in a quiet and respectful manner. This is provoking animal agression for the sake of entertainment - same as dogfighting or cockfighting as far as I'm concerned.
