Very sturdy and well built, perhaps way overbuilt for a 9mm. Very heavy, just point and squeeze, barely any recoil at all and all the rounds end up very close to each other with minimal effort. Tack driver would be a good term for it.
Just got it last week, only able to put about 50 rounds through it but it handles well. Only problem so far is the ugly trigger guard, but that's just my opinion :D
If you are going to get your concealed carry permit and carry I'd go with the P01. It is smaller, and it's alloy frame makes it lighter.
If you want it for target practice and home defense, I'd get the larger, heavier CZ75. The barrel is longer, and the frame is steel, so while heavy, the 75's recoil is very controllable.
Both pistols are accurate (I tend to shoot the 75 a little better). They are both reliable when using brass case ammunition (stay away from CCI aluminum case stuff though).
That is a sweet pistol. I have the 75B duo-tone and didn't know they made a P-01 like that. Would you happen to know if they are still available like that?
From what I have read the bi-tone P01s were made exclusively for a chain of sporting goods stores called Gander Mountain. That's where this pistol came from (it's actually my brother's pistol). They might still have some in stock.
are there any shorter lights that will fit?

did the finish of the light come off after shooting it?
ustfu 2 years ago
No, i have that light its very durable. you just get residue on the lens.

sounds cool without the silencer

Does the P-01 need any adapter to fit the TLR?
ustfu 3 years ago
Nope. The rail is standard size, it can accept most any rail mounted pistol light.
The slide is a little short, so the light sticks out past the muzzle, but other than that it fits fine.

How much did that pistol run you?

depends. for concealed carry, as mentioned, get the CZ P-01.
if you're just target shooting/whatever, i recommend the CZ 75 SP-01. it's an upgraded version of the CZ 75

I have the SP-01, thing is a tank.

i also have the SP-01, too.
and i totally agree with your statement!

You should take a look at the P-07, very light for a CZ, I like it.

Yes the new P-07 DUTY, tell me more.

Good to know, any info on the new czp-07 duty?

Yeah I hear that a lot. The squared off trigger guard is kinda funky. Other than that I like how they look.
