That style of choral directing in Detroit goes back to the 1930's. It is just Detroit. What you do not understand is that many of the dance moves that became popular in the secular world were borrowed from the Church. James Brown said that his whole routine was borrowed from his pastor in Augusta, GA. Most of Black Detroit has Georgia roots, some South Carolina, some Alabama. Other groupings are MUCH smaller. It is just Georgia transplanted.
Lord Jesus, THANKYOU for EVERYTHING. I proclaim your name and i'm a witness to your power of love. I LOVE YOU. THere is NO love greater, people let us begin to trust in the lord. NO WEAPON, FORMED AGAINST US, SHALL PROSPER. THANKYOU JESUS
Jesus is the father, Jesus is the son and Jesus is the HolyGhost. YEEEEEEES LORD.
i need all the christain freinds and subs please thank you i feel we can reach people if we be a freind to them with all meekness and kindness i am trying to do something good on youtube there are so many atheists please help me fight thank you
All I can say is " Oh To Be Kept", that's all that can be said! Maestro Fletcher has done it again! I have always loved him and Thomas Whitfield, they are my two (2) all time favorite Gospel Giants!
Yes suh...OMG THEY KILLED THAT!!!!! Hymns...I tell you it aint nothing in the world like them!!!!! He was doing a lil too much show-boating for me...I like that to be kept to a minimum...but even with that...it showed an awesome connection between the choir, director, and musicians!!!!! Powerful Hymn...Thank You Lord for Keeping Me!!!!!!
You CAN'T MESS with Michael Fletcher. I have his two CD's from the '90's which are now collectors items. It's great seeing him in action...a classic on his first album (besides the ubiquitous "Look And Live") is "Sweeter".
Being a Michael Fletcher fan...this vid getz 5+ stars!!! And the next time I direct this with my church choir, I just might get a "kick" out of it like he did. Thanks for sharing good traditional gospel with us!
JKTheCrew, please give me a holla because the Technical Director who was switching on this service for this song was off the hook 2:43-2:55-that was the best camera direction!
God always blesses HC but on this particular Sunday...Daniel was rocked! Our rehearsals are just as anointed because we tell the Lord to ALWAYS have HIS way. Glooooray!!!!
ALRIGHT NOW!!!
