ITS JUST A NAME. Im Australian and i have heard people say this, just not quite like that. Haha, most of Australia wants to know where the name COON CHEESE comes from aswell.
It must be weird being a comedian who tells the same jokes in every show. This was posted 2 years ago, but I saw him a week and a half ago and he told the same jokes.
@rhettboy most comedians do that.. coz their audiences don't sit on youtube all day on their lazy asses expecting miracles and different jokes and material each time, rather go to their local gigs and hear the jokes for the first time. :P
@hasher22 I wasnt even aware of it being a derogatory name until it all exploded in the media. People say we're backwards here in Australia, but if we managed to completely nullify a previously racist insult to a harmless name for cheese, forgotten and accepted by nearly all, then Id say that's an achievement other countries couldn't hope to accomplish. We're not backwards here in Aus, we're just down to earth. I think other "less backwards" countries could learn a few things from us.
You're right. Remember the KFC cricket Australian commercial? Where the caucasian person was surrounded by african people and the africans was screaming for their team and the caucasian people lifted a bucket of chicken and the africans went silent.
This caused a STUPID uproar in america saying it is racist..... fact: australia does not have the stereotype of africans liking chicken. People need to get their head out of their asses.
@hasher22 Political correctness does more for racism than our nonchalant- generally laid back attitude ever will
The fact is, the more we're racially indifferent in Aus, the more we're scrutinized by other nations posturing under the guise of a more "Politically correct" stance. From where I'm sitting, its all these other pig headed equality-mongers that are the real backward ones here
As you said, people need to get their heads out of their ass's and stop CHOOSING to be offended
nah mate!! you want sydney for that. hahah cracked me up
