Jesus did not save a woman from being stoned, any revised edition of the bible will tell you that story is not in the earliest of manscripts, NIV, RSV etc.

This is disturbing. Though I am an ex mormon and dont agree with all the doctrines and beliefs mormons teach. They do teach about Jesus Christ. She regected Jesus her saviour who lived a PERFECT life, taught us to love on another, love our enemies, was never involved in war, taught peace,and died for our sins so we could be saved. Jesus did not save a woman from being stoned, any revised edition of the bible will tell you that story is not in the earliest of manscripts, NIV, RSV etc.
The Quran also speaks of a different rule for eye for an eye etc. where the person is told its better to forgive

Have you ever heard of a Mormon strapping a bomb to himself and blowing up people. Or flying planes into buildings? Or going on a killing rampage because someone drew a cartoon of Joseph Smith? @islam2dmaxx It doesn't say black skin is a curse. "Skin" is scriptural symbolyzim related to ones "countenance" or spirit. Interracial marriage is not "forbidden". There is the "rare" teaching discouraging it, but it's not forbidden. The reason for the discouragement is because of often there being cultural differences, which can sometimes make a marriage fail. I for example am a victim of such an event. My wife cared more about her chinese family than her own eternal family, and ran.

@cgyssels There are 2 verses in the book of Nephi that can be misinterpreted: one talks that a discidents had been marked by the Lord to prevent the rightous to mix with unbelivers. Very comparable with Old Testament teachings. The second verse, several chapters later, the same writer states that all peoples races are blessed by the Lord if they obey His commandements and teachings, because we are all His children.

The only disappointing part is that it ended when she was getting to "the good part". I was born Muslim (but not really raised as such), I was baptized Mormon when I was 18 and now, almost 20 years later, I am returning to my roots. I still have some questions and would have like to have seen the rest of this interview, is the full interview available elsewhere?

@05lowell.. Islam is the only worldwide cult to have harsh prohibitions against converting out of it. There are many who believe in Death to Apostates under Sharia. Its the attempt to scare people into staying in the cult.. Christianity is also irrational, but at least they dont have any death penalty for leaving it. Yes, actually I'm a scholar in Mormon Doctrine, you obviously only read the scripture verse in the New Testament, but never read the words of Joseph Smith when he said that the only way someone could commit such unforgivable blaspheme is to know without a doubt, as much as they know "that the sun shines at noon day", that God exists and that Jesus is His only begotten son, and then actually fight against the church. That is the sin of blaspheme against the Holy Ghost.

my family have been in the church since 1834. i have books and documents stating church doctrine from the Book of Commandments, the D&C letters and written accounts of what was said.

Good, neither do I wish to argue. But you must understand that the priesthood was not withheld from blacks simply because of the prejudice of Brigham Young, as the command was given to Joseph Smith, before Brigham Young had even become president of the church. If you believe that Brigham Young made "doctrine" with his own personal opinions, then I would recommend not believe in Blood Atonement either, as he is the one who introduced such a concept.
