Read our 'Hawaiian History' and not the 'American Version'. Also, listen to your Tutu Kane and Tutu Wahine about the history of OLD. Clinton had it right because he understood the plight of Hawaiians to retain what is theirs. Will we ever get the 'Kingdom of Hawaii' back? Or will we remain the "FAKE STATE OF HAWAII"? Here's a suggestion: Release Hawaii from the Union and grant statehood to GUAM. That way you don't have to change the American Flag.

I once heard a prominent American attorney say that Hawaii will one day be independent, but it wonʻt be because of the sovereignty movement. He alluded to an inevitable fall of the U.S. economy (following the collapse of European economies), which looks to be not impossible anymore. The thinking is that the U.S. will be in such bad shape that they eventually to have to "let Hawaii go" in order to "circle the wagons" around North America. Hmmm.

So if Obama (or the courts) agrees to recognize and to admit that all post 1893 political, and legal activity that want on in the Islands was in fact illegal under the two agreements (because the US occupation force was to administer Hawaiian Kingdom law, not U.S. law), then Obama is not president! He was born in the Kingdom of Hawaii, and therefor can't be president under the law, and then is unable to enforce the treaties restoring Hawaiian law.

Do u know that others may argue that the troops were only there to protected the American residents and their properties in the kingdom. I would like to see Hawaii's independence restored too but many native Hawaiians would be against leaving the union or restoring the monarchy. You might as well file a lawsuit with the Supreme Court on returning America back to the British for the Americans illegal overthrown of the British colonial government.

@SaveChinaTiger I'd say around half of the 800,000 don't really belong. Half Hawaii's population are here for a short period of time, and get recycled with new comers. They'd go back to the U.S. easily! The majority of the other half would support sovereignty. No one would have any lesser degree of citizenship due to race. We r not racist. The world would have to understand that it wouldnt be a NEWLY independant monarchy, but rather the reinstatement of a monarchy that was overthrown illegally
