  • Do you own a Calabash yet? It would be most interesting to see you smoke one,

  • @baldpipeguy In fact I do own a calabash, which I show a couple of times in this very video, but I don't smoke it often as it's somewhat on the "older" side and the gourd itself has a sort of sour smell to it, which I am trying to get rid of by smoking some STRONG, and heavy Latakia-loaded english blends. I also don't smoke it often in public because of the rather comical and intrusive nature of it's appearance. Your silver Ser Jacopo calabash is something I should look into...

  • @asianhombre - I understand fully! I would smoke my Calabash in public without hesitation but after the fifteenth person saying, "Sherlock Holmes!" I think the fun would go out of it. It is a great pipe though to smoke at a Pipe club gathering or Pipe show, however. I did see it in your profile photo and it really suits you.

  • What a pleasure to watch this video. Blessings

  • Great video and great points about provenance and "earning" the vintage. I hope that I can earn it some day, too. Your memories and context for each of your favorite 3 pipes (especially the first two) was extraordinary. Thanks for sharing.

  • This was one awesome retrospective on Pioneer pipes! You got it in One, Myles!

Also really enjoyed your 3 pipes and Your Christmas Wishes.
