Also, your untap step is before your draw step. Also a counterspell doesn't stop an attack, but can prevent the creature from entering the battlefield. Also a sorcery doesn't help the opponent if an attack is being made, as only instants (or activated abilities) can be played during an opponents turn (and only during a main phase and when your stack is empty).

I understand there are exceptions to the rule, and I'm mostly assuming the deck was stacked to draw a certain way for the tutorial... but teaching new players that it's a good idea to keep a one land hand is a bad example to set, imo. 9 times out of 10 that will get you mana screwed, and make you lose.

You actually play a land card and draw mana from the land when you tap the land (or draw mana from the land and tap it to signify its use - either way).

I rather enjoyed this tutorial. I just started playing myself and I have a lot of things to learn. the only thing that is tripping me up is the stats that have to be moderated and adjusted on the fly.

Not a bad tutorial. Not heavily detailed, but if you're wanting to just get the basic idea across and a handful(pun intended) of the concepts of the game then you did well. Someone pointed out summoning sickness. Though this may seems like a detail not required to explain to an observer with no knowledge, it does help some understand "why didn't you attack" and so forth.

You may have meant "stack the deck" instead of "stock the deck".  Some mechanics need more clarification but this game is just difficult to teach when trying to explain the rules in 3 minutes, good job!

@josevol55 ya you can dude, in fact you have to; if you were in a tourney, you'd get a warning for missing essential steps if you were called on it, but it would still untap.

you forgot one thing when a creature is played it has summoning sickness and cannot attack the turn it was summoned unless it has "Haste" or another effect that says otherwise
