i have this crossbow as well and i can hit 400's with it and im 80 range. but if i pot to 90 i can hit in the 500s. and ik wtf you thank the spec hits higher but no the weapons code is odd. its like this whin you hit with spec you hit relativity good. what i mean by that is. whin my spec hits it shit 300+ hope this expland a bit about the weapon for you

with zaniks u should be able to hit 56s because spec makes u hit 150+ dammage than whatyou would have hit with normal attack 41+15!

used to be a glitch where you could autocast a spell and click on the zaniks spec and hits would pile...then you could spec again right after that...but Jagex fixed it. Used to use it at Fist of Guthix all the time :)
