  • planet piss

  • I met this dude at a bass clinic thing for the school of rock

  • OMG God, I pissed myself with that greasy wheel groove....

  • GREEASSSAYYY GRRRRROOOOOOVVVVVVEEE

  • i met him at guitar center for this tour thing he is doing for bass strings.. wat a cool guy :D!!

  • WOOT John Scofield :D played the chicken with jaco in his instructional video. i learned a lot of cool bass stuff from that video.

  • I think the trend now is P basses and the two happened to collide. Lull was doing it before it was the trend.

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Teach us how to play it with your cock murderface

  • Wow, he's really good! :D

  • it's weird to watch people from detklok play without people dying.

  • snape plays bass!!!!

  • It funny how every company is scrambling now to put out a 5 string P. I remember purchasing mine from Blueberry Bass back in 2003. How come it took Sadowsky, Lakland, Fender and Alleve Coppollo so long to catch on?

  • @sneha1965

there wasnt a demand for it 7 years ago. at least not compared to the 5 string jazzes that keeps them in business.

  • @edenite IMO the Roscoe Beck and the the Marcus Miller are the only respectable 5 strings fender ever made and they are both based on the jazz. the P-bass style pickup on its own doesn't cut through the mix enough for me.

  • @nephilymbass1

Same, i run both P's and J's from fender/lakland/sadowsky etc. I love the way the Jazz cuts through live, but when it comes to recording a P with flats sounds amazing on the playback.

  • @edenite I've come to realize this, and although my *LIVE* basses are always my Lull Jazzes and Spector Euro Bolt-Ons (w/ custom Nordstrand Big Singles & Aguilar OBP-3 preamp) I have a few basses in my collection for their "Classic Tones". One is a Music Man Sterling (the Jazz to the StingRay's P) and until I can pick up an American Deluxe Precision on the used market, a "spare" Spector with Nordstrand P & DC pups in EMG-sized shells that actually sound very close to the ADPV's "Xtra Growly P".

  • @nephilymbass1 The '95-"08 American Deluxe Precision V ( the one with the big Bill Lawrence Dual Coil Humbucker from the Beck in the bridge position) was an extremely underrated P-Bass and has grown since it was discontinued. I'm not a P guy AT ALL, it's modern Jazzes (Lulls, in fact: BB's a friend, let me try his through his rig and love was born ) & Spectors but the ADPV was the *1* P-Bass I dug, due to that bridge pup. I missed out on one last month and am still kicking myself for it...

  • @edenite I purchased mine in 2003 LPB w/maple cap neck custom wound duncan pu. Love it!

  • Cooper2112 i cant agree with you more :P those guys are just amazing

  • bryan is one of my biggest influences on the way i play bass, especially technique wise. he teaches so well for not being a teacher.

  • Geddy Lee and Bryan Beller, my two favorite bassists!

  • 5 string bass anyone?

  • yep all black Ibanez

  • I really liked the sound very growly

  • Haha! I saw him and his (girlfriend? wife?) at chris' jazz cafe. Hey bryan, how's the recording i did for you?

  • Shut the fuck up, go-bot.

  • ZING!

  • interesting - the P-bass has a real signature tone, rumbling and crunchy, lot of fret buzz and string slap -

  • bad ass riff it's got that 7/4 "churn"

  • \m/

  • Awesome!! Bryan... Love your sound and style.. much respect to you...

..and what a nice guy you are!!

    Richard

  • Бля! Внатуре Мардерфэйс!!!!!

  • Bryan Beller is a sick bassist. Discounting his work with Dethklok, he has some really sweet licks.

  • MURDERFACE!!!!

    -wigglez-

  • DETHKLOK!!
