Abd-ar-Rahman III : was an indian Guy from sri lanka

Ummyads : were Brazilian Gypsies

and yah I get it the name is an arabic name and thats because they used the arabic language because

A. Al-Alndalus were an Islamic empire

&

B. Arabic was the the language of science at that time....just like English nowadays

So to say that it was an arab empire is not correct it was a moors empire...and moors were not just Arabs as I stated on my last comment.

it was not advanced until arabs came with their knowledge from the east Damascus & Baghdad HOUSE OF WISDOM

But that doesn't mean that other ethnicities like persians, Berbers & the native Spaniards didnt contribute 2 civilization & actually became part of it ..even Jews & christian contributed to that Gr8 civilization!

Will yes its true the Abbassayad welcomed many non muslims....but as I said muslims didn't really create science it was the greeks, persians and hindus who did....but that doesn't mean that muslims didn't do anything like some westerners who try to rewrite history!

the same thing goes to arabs who try to claim that all moors were arabs when infact they were a mix ethnicity ruled by the great Arab Ummayad dynasty.
