Thank you for translating it. I like Wir Sind Helden's music, however I only ever took German to GCSE level and didn't do a good job with it, even though I find the language interesting. I wish I'd done better and had a better grasp of different languages. I can't really understand a great deal without translations, a few words but not really whole sentences. Thank you :)

The phrase "auf den Mund fallen" I think would translate better to "trip over your tongue" in English. In German though, I thought that was a very cute play on phrasing.

That's a good translation. Translating the meaning of the double entendre here is not easy though...

if you're tripping over your tongue, why not over mine? Might work just fine though, it has the same unexpected but easyish to interpret turnaround of the expression

Ich finde es überhaupt cool, daß es ein deutsches Lied gibt, wo die Wortspiele auf Englisch übersetzt und erklärt werden. Vieles geht durch Übersetzung verloren, z.B. die hälfte alle Witze in Komödien die von Englisch ins Deutsch übersetzt sind. Schön, daß es auch anders rum ist!
