Mod Looks absolutely great, this is what i did.

1) updated q4 to latest patch (1.42)

2) extracted gtx mod into q4 folder (D:\Games\Quake 4\gtxq4) and added the sikkmod files into the same folder.

3) launched the game, and launched "sikkmod".

The only complain I have is that it doesn't let you load old saves, and doesn't show your hp. At least not on my comp & video card.

I know Youtube is a load of maniacs and idiots but even we can download 2 mods for Quake 4 and install them properly.

Just tell us what you made so different to get such a result.

@Klonfuzius Here's a solution. It won't give you the same graphics, but is pretty close. After installing Sikkmod type into console (Ctrl+Alt+~): g_useAmbientLight 1 g_showBloodSprays 1 r_useHDR 1 r_hdrWhitePoint 10 r_hdrGlareStyle 10 r_useBloom 1 r_useMotionBlur 1 r_useColorGrading 1 r_colorGradingParm 2 You can tweak it further using Sikkmod menu. It's VERY customizable.

Nice mod but the graphics doesn't look that good. For starters t he HDR is to strong, and the lights and some objects look washed out. Even with the bright lights the environment and shadows remains black, which is completely unrealistic. That was the problem of Doom 3 and Quake 4 engine, and it still is, theres no global illumination and the detail is lost in the shadows.

Ok, if I was to install this , how would I combine the two mods into one? Is that is what you mean by sikkmod + GTX?

BTW, I think vanialla Q4 looked a bit too dark ofc. BUT, sikkmod + GTX looked a TAD BIT to bright for some objects. Is there a way to tweak that setting a little lower?

i don't know why, but I downloaded the sikkmod last night and was able to play it, but all the models looked like complete shadows and the environments were pitched black dark. after tampering with the file"Quake4 config" i was able to activate some of the lighting effects but I still couldn't see anything except the sky and the lights, which didn't reflect on any of the surfaces. Not even the beam of my flashlight touched any of the walls. Do you know what the problem is?
