Also want to make it clear don't have anything against workers who have jobs through this- it is the politicians and CEO's of the companies selling these pipelines across Australia and the scientists who back them. Want to see the scientists against this method work with ethical companies and communities at large to work on sustainable outcomes for water shortages.
Inaccurate, vitriolic post. The project does not traverse Namadgi. The project was also subject to lengthy and protracted community consultation plus environmental assessment. So much unreasonable anger!
@b2k2s2 not inaccurate at all! The pipeline will force water through the creek beds of the national park. PERFECTLY reasonable anger when aware of a white elephant stomping unnecessarily through the eco system of a "protected" park.
stop having a cry because your boring old country road has trucks driving down it now, there extensively rehabilitating all the land that the pipeline runs over and its for the good of more people than just you and your neighbours. You are so ignorant and your last statement in the video proves it, "i hope they lose lots of taxpayers money" tha'ts also your money you fool.
@skateit888 you miss the point skater- when this waste of taxpayers money is revealed- except those who have gained from it financially- hopefully future generations will not make the same greedy mistake. In other words if my money along with everyone else is going to be wasted I want it it to be seen for what it is. You point is moot.
As for rehabilitation goes that's like someone saying don't worry about the lost foot- we put a band aid on the knee!
MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR REMAINS THIS 150 MILLION DOLLAR PROJECT WILL RUN THROUGH THE NAMADGI NATIONAL PARK WHICH CONTRAVENES THE POLICY OF THE ACT NATIONAL PARKS ASSOC
"A key element of Namadgi National Park is its unique natural landforms and panoramic scenery. NPA ACT strongly supports the protection of these essential environmental elements from any incursions or disturbances, such as communication towers, power lines, pipelines or road works."
I don't understand your point? The water transfers through the national reserve surrounding the googong dam so doesn't matter who gets the water- i'm against the method.
