  • Due to a service disruption along the route I'm going to need to transfer you to an agent Hold on. Your call may be monitored for quality assurance.

  • I know the two engineers who were in the engine during this crash. One was the actual engineer who was working; the other was off duty but was there to relieve the operating engineer in case he ran out of time to work (we call it going "dead"). Unfortunately they were both newer engineers, and the one who was operating the train thought he knew better than the other engineer and wouldn't listen to her about the track signals. They are all different for other freight railroads.

  • veriria, the guy wouldn't listen to the woman?

Is he a know-it-all sexist chauvinist?

    What are their ages?

    Injured?

What was the cause of the misread signal(s)?

  • Wow, that's intense.

  • of course it suckes, american trains have a lot of crapy tehnology and very bad organised

to bad people got shocked and hurt

  • Then what are you? Russian... Asian...

Cuz both countrys cant do shit

  • if u look up my acount you will se but your to stupid, anyways in my country trains might be in a bad condition but extremly rare there are train accidents, and nothing like your crap ass trains!

  • The U.S. moves more freight in one year than the entire world does in a year. So by shear statistics there are going to be more accidents.

  • sadly

  • Nice to know that Russia and China are buying our diesels for their railways. And how everyone is envious to our supreame train technology.

  • china, columbia, iran, greece bought and still have in service romanian deisels wich are not that "supreame" but healtyer at fuel cost!

  • Regardless of fuel costs, technology has always won everyone over for USA locomotives. Steam and now diesel.

  • nvm:-j

  • The crew didnt know how to operate the train properly. Too bad people like this are allowed to operate trains. They were protected people.

  • Man, that sucks.

  • ummm, i think so i heard that there where three crew but only one made it.....then again not sure

  • Total of six Crewmembers. Five were injured, all seriously, but none of them died. They are all out of the hospital as are all the passengers. Two engineers in the cab were seriously hurt, one Conductor in the train was pinned by a table and had to be cut out, dunno about the others but most likely they were moving about the train and were thrown from their feet to the floor and broke something.

  • ya no deaths everyone is out of the hospital now

  • Did the crew in the locomotive make it?
