What makes the song Nightbird so beautiful (not only that it's written and performed by Stevie) is that the entire Wild Heart album (which this song appears on) is known for it's 80's synth sound so doing this song acoustically cannot and does not work at all. This song is all about mystery and darkness and it's allure comes from all those synths. Just my opinion but nice voice!

This is so awesome! The real version kind of has a mid-January feeling to it, and this one has a haunting September feeling to it. Then you when you, lilywilson, reach the chorus line, it gets an early fall-October-ish feeling to it.
