@Dancingqueen1980 It only served its purpose if it made me look at or look for the product it was advertising, and it didn't make me want to do either of those things. This advert is only memorable because it's so blatantly irrelevant to the product it's trying to sell.
They're saying the car is tough and beautiful, I guess that's what they're trying to say those dancers are too. Nice to see an ad that's different to every other ad on TV, I'm bored of most of them and they just wash over me, or I leave the room to put the kettle on. And no, no other ad on TV makes me buy the product either, so we might as well find it entertaining and remember it, which this does for me.

If you thought the ad was rubbish, it probably wasn't aimed at you. Marketeers produce adverts to appeal to the demographic most likely to buy a new car. Mostly intelligent people who earn enough money to do so. Some of the posters here probably don't fall into that category. (like me)
The truth about this add, it's about the beauty of the dance and the appearing tough but still able to show passion. So no, the girl isn't a 10 but she symbolises more than just a hot chick - it's mostly about the storytelling of the dance, for all y'all that don't understand this - watch the making of the ad and think further than just hot chicas and chicanos to look at.

@dEsSiCaTa It just makes it more interesting. Imagine pop/rock/rap videos if the group/artist just stood there for three and a half minutes. Same goes for advertising. Make it visually interesting and people will remeber your product.

She doesn't have cellulite - and VW certainly don't think so anyway! But even if she does - she's got to have less than you and is an amazing dancer so stfu!
