can you please make a red carpet video similar to this youtube.co_/watch?v=9GOEi7o_f14 but instead for blender. please I need to make a red carpet for school. Thank You!
Im a total beginner with this program. Since the last 2.49 version I was so confused, but as I played arround with it I got used to the terms and symbols. This tutorial helps alot, I used your grass tutorial to create my introduction shot with a grave stone. The first was horrible looking but after I veiwed your tutorial I was like "OHHHHH" lol. Thanks for the tutorials I look forward to more, it really helps. :]
Make sure how you position the cylinder before you start extruding. The path have an start and a stop and you can see the direction in edit mode:
START--->--->--->---->STOP
If you do not position the cylinder at the start when you begin the extrusions it will not give you a U-shape but... sort of mirror the curved path of the curve.You get something like a smooth W-shape.
@Rasayana85 good catch.. yea i missed one other thing when doing this tut which is you can move the cylinder to the starting point and then go into edit mode and extrude...
Thanks to you good sir. I am myself not muh more than a beginner.
I thought about this vid today. Would it be possible to use ctrl+d on the cylinder and move the new segments into position? I was thinking that if you would like to do something like a centipede or something. =P
