It is always much harder to gain the technology for making a product domestically at first. But once you have the technology to create it than you have broken the ice, it is much easier for them to upgrade the fighter jet or other weapons that they have produced domestically in future.

F-22's are quite helpless while they are parked and THAT is how to take them out. Smart war involves such asymmetrical attacks. Send Shahab missiles to bomb the runways, send in Saeqehs to knock out base utilities, send in Iranian special forces to hit the barracks, and all that high priced NATO hardware will sit there.

Lot's of young people tend to die. All anybody really wants is to be left in peace. I think what is really at issue here is can this equipment in the hands of competent crews be effective. Is the training going to hold up if a fight does come? If the answers to these questions were as easy as what equipment was being fielded, then I think you'd have more major wars.

TRAINING OF AIR CREW.

It is always much harder to gain the technology for making a product domestically at first. But once you have the technology to create it than you have broken the ice, it is much easier for them to upgrade the fighter jet or other weapons that they have produced domestically in future.

You can’t really evaluated by comparing the looks with the model of car from two different countries. It is certainly not as advanced as a US fighter jet is but in the other hand if Iran can make it, it is easier to upgrade it; point is they have the tech.
