not everything is based on slow controlled reps. sure its good to do once in a while but in the real world. everything is time. and gettin reps in is what counts. safely though.
popeye's supposed to be strong, not impressed. and i agree with blackbelt42boxer, kipping does make it easier but overall, you will get stronger. since kipping makes it easier, just do more reps to compensate.
well the guys in the "end of summer strength" vidies are strickly gymnests. crossfitters are required to do so much more. gymnastics are just one of many parts of crossfit.
Ok sry, but unless in the scrolling texts your referring to a woman, it's supposed to be spelled "Paddy". Sry I just get annoyed when people don't use the masculine short form of Patrick. Nicely done though. I used to gymnastics and I could do muscle-ups like nothing. Tried my 1st crossfit workout a couple weeks ago and thought i still could. WHEW was i wrong. I'm so ashamed.
wow ur fucken retarted, everyone who knows fitness knows what a kip is, what it does is make it a whole body exercise, u use each muscle in a certain way although it makes it easier it makes u stronger overall and imprives the thing that is the key to all power HIP EXTENSION
@LonnyLol it forces you to incorporate all of your muscles into one fluid movement, you are basically saying that a lat-pull down is better for you than a snatch because you explode on a snatch...so basically yeah your wrong...
@blackbelt42boxer I'm going to trust Olympic gymnast Coach Sommers here and say that slow form is both harder and provides higher strength gains. Comparing lat pull downs and snatchs. What are you on? First, lat pull downs suck. Secondly, we're talking about one exercise, two different forms, not completely different exercises. I think everyone should have a fast fluid exercise, but they shouldn't rely on it when you can perform the exercise slow form.
@McCankles the point of the snatch v lat pull down was to mock your stupid comparison, i know the lat-pull down sucks...the point was to say why cant one do both forms of the movement, and if one cannot do deadhang, then they shud be allowed to kip, and the kip builds a different type of strength than the brute strength muscle up which is also useful...being explosive is key to athleticism
@blackbelt42boxer You still make no sense. One can do both forms of a movement if one is strong enough. You're telling me it's impossible for someone to be able to do a kipping muscle up and also a slow form muscle up. As I said before, one should always have a fast movement in their arsenal. You can also add weight to a slow form muscle up. Try doing that with a kipping muscle up and see what happens.
@McCankles omg ur so slow...i'm saying that the kipping muscle up is just as beneficial in a different way, i said that if one can perform both they should...and you CAN add weight to a kipping muscle up
@blackbelt42boxer "the point was to say why cant one do both forms of the movement". What the hell does this mean? Because there is no question mark and grammatically it's not an indirect question, I took it as a statement. I've already agreed with you by saying that one should have a fast movement in his or her arsenal. I am still skeptical about adding weight to a kipping muscle up on rings. If you care this much about proving me wrong, find me a video.
@McCankles find you a video of what? someone doing a kipping muscle up with added weight, put a goddamn dumbell between your ankles hop on a pair of rings and try it yourself dumbass
@blackbelt42boxer Because I can easily do a slow form weighted muscle up on rings, there is no point. I would like to see someone kip with a 25 pound dumbbell between there legs.
@blackbelt42boxer I just checked your channel. I couldn't find one comment on the first page where someone agrees with you. In fact, looks like you had three arguments going at once with three different people on three different topics. So whatever dog, keep doing what your doing, it's obviously working if people think you're 15 and are critical of your achievements.
@McCankles i don't claim any achievements, i was simply stating my observations through my experiences, it's the internet, of course people will disagree with me, and my age is irrelevant to any of this...
@blackbelt42boxer Alright alright, it's been a while since I've looked at this and let's just settle on there's a time for slow muscle ups and there's a time for kipping muscle ups. I just think that kipping muscle ups should only be done on a bar while slow muscle ups are a ring thing.
your not very smart are, you and your obviously not familiar with crossfit or any type of elite fitness, thats not swing his legs its called kipping, i bet you couldnt get one kipping muscle up on rings, prolly not even on a bar
ur vid has nothing to do with muscle ups, and these are rings dips which are much harder and hes not swinging hes kipping theres a difference, and u couldnt do one
Lol you realy dont know much about lifting do you. Muscle ups lol nice term. The muscles used to do a pull up are strong in me also no just my chest and tris.
I can easily do 15 pull ups. kicking my way up only makes it easyer then I do a dip and repeat.
This exercise done for that many reps will work on endurance more than strengh.
Whcih you need for fights ya.
But doing wat he does wouldnt be hard unless you added some extra weights mabe 30-40 pounds. For me atleast
no u dont know much about lifting, i hate these douchebags that think just cause they lift means they know about lifting, hes not kicking or swinging hes kipping its a very technical move, and those are called muscle ups i didnt make that up, and those dips are harder because they are on rings, and i've only seen 3 people do muscle ups without kipping, and they were crossfit champions, u couldnt do one on rings with a kip, u might get one on a bar with a kip and i know more about fitnees than u.
try doing dips on rings instead or a dip setup, its 20 times harder, u dont know anything about fitness, u prolly have never heard of Crossfit, or starting strength...can u tell me the differnce between a lowbar and high bar back squat hmmm, have u gone to countless certs and seminars, red hundreds of fitness books, ya didnt think so dont tell me i dont know much about fitness bitch
yea show me a vid of u doing a mucle up within the next week, i dont care if u kip or not but it has to be a real kip not a swing or jump, ur gunna try it and ur gunna be like " fuck this is harder than i thought" and do it on rings not a bar
Dude you are strong but seriously... 1980's shorts?

@blackbelt42boxer If you're saying a kip makes you stronger overall than a slow form non-kipped muscle up or pull up, you're fucking retarded.
