They did make the playoffs. They lost to the Spurs in the first round that year, but missed the playoffs the next year. They never were as threatening of a team as they were hyped up to be though and never will. Nash, Grant, and Shaq all get a year older, their bench in its current state is pathetic, their defense is just as bad as it has always been, and there seems to be a lot of instability in the organization with the trade offers being thrown out there. That team is in total disarray.
