@omegainfernalis 1999 to 2004 mustangs are basically the same,04's have a 3.9 but same block same horsepower,if you took a computer out of a 02 and swapped it into an 01 it shouldn't make a difference,if you have codes or check engine light you need a trouble code reader some of them are inexpensive,absolutely you can reprogram a computer its essential when you start adding high perfomance parts,like mass air flo sensors and larger fuel injectors and so on.

@XtlozXloverX9 I've owned 2 now and I love them. I am not gonna lie, they are meant to "feel the road." It will not really be a smooth ride (everything is meant to shake, rattle and rumble or at least the V8) But overall you can't beat it. I mean why do you think there's so many on the road.
Weather driving is good because it is rear wheel drive as long as you have tread on your tires, and you feel in control of the car.

@errenthovsep hey, i just bought a used 2002 v6 mustang with 76,000 miles on it, and i got 27mpg on the highway and sometimes more. ive already put 7,000 miles on it and not a problem at all! these babys keep on going if you take proper care of them, these engines are bulletproof haha. you should really get one, they are OUTSTANDING in reliability. it would be a very good choice to get one. let me know if u have any questions

@errenthovsep I just sold my 2000 V6 and now have a 2002 Camaro SS. The mustang did me well for the 7 years I had it, never even got a check engine light. All I had to do was replace the water pump, heater piping, and spark plugs aside from the usual oil changes. All repairs were done in my driveway nothing major and I sold it at 132000 miles running perfectly. They are nice reliable cars, the only thing I hated was how slow they are, if you want speed buy a GT (or better yet a camaro).

@XtlozXloverX9 i have a 2004 3.9 v6 convertible, there is nothing i hate about it, its a 5 speed manual, the convertible, its a little loud with the rain, but its so money, at nights i love it, mines the 40th anniversary deluxe edition, sonic blue, beautiful car, quick for a v6, gets decent gas milage, fun to drive on the highway, i dont even feel the road, a lot smoother ride than my 95 f150 or my 01 saturn i used to have

@XtlozXloverX9 as far as weather goes... like Durr727 said.. long as you have good tires weather will never be a problem.. dont go cheap when buying tires... youll always regret it for one reason or another.. either from their weather performance or the fact youll feel every bump and rock on the road because of how hard the rubber is.. but you also dont have to go with the most expensive ones out there either... Learn to read the tire ratings and select a good one..

@kaylonms The same way ever other H pipe is fabricated. Two straight pipes essential with a crossover in the middle to equalize the sound and flow a little and removed the catalytic converters and used MIL eliminators also.

Believe me i know im catless on my v6 charger and im kicking myself right now..hopefully when i throw my cams/heads/LT on in 2 months things will be different but no one should run an catless exhaust on a stock 6 IMO.
@dejuan71 at WOT throttle it got raspy. But I never raced this car because it is in fact just that, a V6. At idle and cruising by it sounded nice and throaty for the engine that was under the hood.
it looks like there isn't a shortage of people who would like to copy this sound. if i were you, and if it's still possible, I'd package this set-up and sell it to folks. it sounds great!

This car is american muscle. It may not be the fastest car on the road, but it was still made in America, and is still faster than stock 4 banger jap scrap. The 99+ v6's made similar power to the Older Mustang GT's anyway.
I agree. Mine was a 2001 V6, and I think it had around 190 hp. The old GT's had about the same amount of hp out of a 289 V8... I may be wrong, but I believe you're correct.

Horsepower is calculated from Torque, and revolutions. You can think of engine revolutions as time, and Torque as the force being applied.
Horsepower = Torque X Engine RPM / 5,252.
When you get into depth about learning what Horsepower actually is, you'll realize that it's a combined rating of force applied over time. Which is said to be work done over time. Same thing.

I have a few Questions, Cause That Sound is perfect for a 6 cyl stang and i want the same setup
1. How Many mufflers did U order?
2. Was it a complete system?

Sounds like mine. Using MAC stuff on it with true duals. Nice sound. Is your's like mine in that when you first start it it is louder than when it gets warmed up? When i first start it I can't hear my wife talking to me in the passenger seat LOL.

This car is american muscle. It may not be the fastest car on the road, but it was still made in America, and is still faster than stock 4 banger jap scrap. The 99+ v6's made similar power to the Older Mustang GT's anyway.

I agree. Mine was a 2001 V6, and I think it had around 190 hp. The old GT's had about the same amount of hp out of a 289 V8... I may be wrong, but I believe you're correct.

well actually the 01's had an internally balanced motor instead of eternally like the 99''s and half of the 2000's. so in reality base HP on yours would be around 232 HP

whether the engine is internally balanced or externally bakanced has nothing to do with power output.
99-00 v6's were rated at 190hp at the crank
and 01-04 v6's were rated at 193hp at the crank because of the addition of IMRC's

Not really. TamaMan15 had it right the first time. Torque is what gets you going, and is what keeps you going.
Horsepower is calculated from Torque, and revolutions. You can think of engine revolutions as time, and Torque as the force being applied.
Horsepower = Torque X Engine RPM / 5,252.
When you get into depth about learning what Horsepower actually is, you'll realize that it's a combined rating of force applied over time. Which is said to be work done over time. Same thing.
