Beautiful work!! I love to see true craft work not produced by a computer programmed embroidery machine. Working conditions could be improved, i.e desks and chairs for the people sitting on bare floor, or maybe even a rug perhaps. I hope they are being payed a fair trade wage also.
@cggify The people of Aceh are very talented. Re: working conditions, they are much better than the average in the area. People love to sit on the floor, they are not used to sitting in chairs when they work. Rugs are not used because it is extremely hot & humid there & the bare floors help keep them cool. Re: wages, we pay them well above the average wage & we have done much more for them. Tsunami relief work is the reason we came there & we want to continue helping them for a long time.
i BOUGHT ONE ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND JUST LAST MONTH ANOTHER ONE, WELL, WITH EVERY DAY USE FROM THE"OLD" lAGA BAG, I AM SO HAPPY TO SAY THAT THERE WAS NOT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE, SO ACTUALLY THEY LAST SO MUCH LONGER.
this is fantastic and you can really see how primitive but heartwarming it is to see everyone working together for a wonderful cause, helping tsunami survivors with jobs and hope for a better future.
