@KarinaCanSing La Bandita Puerca was about 6 years old when she passed away; she was a slightly younger 5 when we made this video :)

Regarding the nails...

We tried to trim them on a monthly basis (as directed by our piggy guides), but nail-trimming was the one thing LBP did not agree to, so it became difficult; sometimes even a two-person process.

We did manage to never let them get longer than in this video, though.

However, we can no longer trim them; La Bandita Puerca recently passed away in January 2009. RIP, little buddy :)

People eat the animals that are native to their country. Some countries do not have the luxury of having pets rather than food like many developed countries...

I agree. They cannot raise cattle on the mountainous terrain of Peru, so what else do they have to eat? Besides, it's not like the guinea pig is an endangered spieces.

When I had my little piggie I never trimmed his nails and I swear I had him back when I was 7 im 17 now and I feel like I still have the scars from when he scratched me.
