  • HIS NAME IS LOUIS PAULSEN

  • BH5 is not a mistake, the reason Morphy played that move is because when Paulsen plays G6 he is no longer defending the F6 square, and morphy can now think about putting the knight onto that outpost.

  • I think the world of chess is overestimating Morphy. He has not been as legendary as they say he was. look at the game it's filled with mistakes.

  • @mullamohaymen

Yeah I know what you mean, however I think Morphy was one of the greatest ever attacking chess players.

  • why is stewie griffin narrating this??

  • That was a nice game to study.

  • the queen trade is definitely a blunder

  • id say that in 2:05, the a6 move prevents Nb5,which would alow the knight to either go to c7 or replace the bishop in d6 for a wonderful outpost, correct me if im wrong

  • classic yorkshire accent

  • @postmasterw00t

  • Your welcome mate :)

  • Yeah, theres certainly something fascinating about Morphy - the play of the day is sometimes very primitive, but aside from Bronstein games I find his the most entertaining to play through - Im working on my next video at the moment.

    Thanks for the comment :)
