Seeing this video brought back some memories for me! Thanks for posting it!! I was at Ft Bliss--in this room when the video was made--and I didn't know someone had a video of it. Ft Bliss really sucked! The 442 boys did a great job in Iraq assigned to the 3rd ID--insipite of their horrible "glory-hound" leadership (Chaves, low, etc....).
Your point? The vast majority of Nissei didn't consider themselves Japanese, but Americans. Many Nissei who were from Hawaii wanted to go to the Pacific theater to FIGHT the Japanese.

I proudly Served whith everyone of them in Iraq! They are consisted of Guam, Hawaii, Saipan, Rota, Tinian, and Samoa.

Your point is one many still don't seem to understand. Our families in camps here on the mainland and our boys fighting overseas.
We owe a lot to the men who fought for us in WWII.
