Okami Music - Battle of Orochi I

I really liked this fight. 9 HP bars that you had to deplete and each head had it's own attacks and stratagy to keep the fight from getting stale. I didn't even mind doing this fight three times.

you have to fight Orochi three times in Okami! THREE TIMES!!!!! oh and in Okamiden you cut off his heads . . . you don't fight him . . . you just finish him off, BUT STILL!!! IT'S ANOOYYINNNGG DX

I dont know what its more scary, the fact that he is just a gian serpent with 8 heads, or the fact he can attack with 8 different form and you will never stop it unless you have Nagi or Susano and Ammy.

I wish Orochi was harder to fight. There was so much build up for him to be an amazing boss, but once you figured out the gimmick the fight was just too easy...

This is probably the perfect song for Orochi. It's pretty suspenseful, and had me thinking "oh crap" when I first fought him. (He isn't exactly an extremely tough boss, but I love the mechanics used for the fight!)

It's called balance. Orochi won 90% of the time because Nihon mythology is much more believable in terms of morality and lessons learned. Evil will always triumph...for a time. Good prevails because the world isn't one-sided; without good there cannot be an evil to balance it out. It should also be noted that Orochi is much more powerful than Amaterasu, if you care to read deeper into my mythology. Basically, I agree with you on this.

I agree completey. There can't be good without evil and Orochi physically was noteably more powerful. Mythology is a lot more darker than some people take it for granted.

Yes indeedy. Even when you take in the reality of Izanami and Izanagi it's a horrible sight when she is described in Yomi when nagi-san looks at her more closely. That is the way of decay and rot with the human body, and the perpetuators of that particular story chose to let the facts remain (i.e. the true decay and rot of the human body, rather than keeping with a vague description).
