fact is, UW is not an elite program anymore and everyone knows it. only thing UW fans can bring up is past history. you think you can recruit big time high school players outside of the westcoast anymore? think again. barely anybody outside of the northwest even knows UW anymore. UW football is history and will never be dominant again. if you actually believe that UW is still elite, your crazier then britney spears.

Excuse me but even during the elite years of UW, we never were able to recruit much outside of the west coast. In fact, USC still got the best of the best. USC went after Todd Marinovich (the highest rated) while UW had to settle for guys like Mark Brunell.

When Oklahoma had horrible consecutive seasons, were they ever able to rebound? Oh that's right, a national title.

UW's recruiting class is ranked 14th and 24th by scout and rivals. That's after 4 losing seasons. Imagine that.

I brought up Rivals too which ranked UW at 24th best. 24th best with a 4-9 record? The problem isn't talent at UW, it's coaching. I never put UW in the same class as OU, I was just saying that OU had a similar run of poor performance (3-8, 4-8, 5-6) and then turned around with an undefeated season and a NC two years later. So tell me why? Can't get the talent? UW had more players in the NFL in the 1980's and 1990's than any other team so that ain't it either.
