Hi may I ask you something do these laptops play games? Also what kind of games do they play?

@1986spyro you can play adobe or java games (such as facebook games and addictinggames . com) but you can't play games like world of warcraft or sims3 because the proccesor on this is intel atom which isnt very capable of high cpu usage.

also, the graphics card isnt high enough and the 1gb ram might overeat the pc ONLY if you play games like runescape and sims3

I got myself one only because i got a Bargin £130 brand new N455 1GB Ram, 250GB HDD in any Colour the RRP is £230 most places sell for £200 cheapest new on Ebay was £170 so i had a bargin.

Should be fine for Videos upto 480p,Music general Web Surfing, Office Work and a bit of Gamming as far as basic or Games that are about 4 years old or even as i entend as a Retro Emulation device to plug into TV with usb pads and play some old Arcade and Console Classics like Super Mario etc.

On most newer systems yes its 1.3MP on older Acer ones its 0.3MP older ones only have upto G Wireless, newer ones upto N wireless.

Actually the only problem with Windows XP is its not the latest thing/trend and dont look as pretty, yes it has less features but the newer the operating system the more demanding on the CPU/RAM and Hard Drive Space.

A netbook with XP would be faster than with Vista or Win 7 only problem is it may not run with certain programs etc that require newer operating systems, Performance wise a less demanding OS like Lingux would run faster but not have the vast software Win has

Why are netbooks even relevant still? they're horrible, sure you can take it anywhere you want, but if it doesnt work and is still a piece of shit, why spend any amount of money on them?

Netbooks are awesome cause their so easy to carry around to use the INTERNET and skype and a bunch of other simple programs. It won't replace a computer and maybe you don't like them cause you need something more powerful. All I'm saying is it's perfect for simple tasks.

Thats right it depends what you want from a System, most PCs are lame compared to propper Gamming Rigs that use large cases with 2X Graphics Cards, Powerfull CPU and Ram but these systems are a bit OTT if the user wanted a desktop to go online, watch Video and play Music on.

Gamming Rigs are good for the latest games at 1080p or greater with full settings.

Just as Netbooks are for web surfing, music, and basic tasks like Education/Office Work

I have a bought two computers in the last 9 months. One is a an HP desktop with a 6-core processor and 8GB of RAM, the other is a Samsung netbook with a dual-core processor and (upgraded to ) 2 GB of RAM. The netbook actually gets more day-to-day use. People who say they are useless usually either don't own one or have an older one from when they really were JUST mobile internet devices. Today's netbooks can easily handle just about anything an average computer user regularly needs.

Thats right todays Netbooks are as good as what Laptops was about 4 years ago, the biggest problem with a Netbook is the lack of Ram unless upgrade to 2GB, not a problem if you look after your Netbook and know how to remove and disable stuff you dont need running in the back ground at lot of PC Performance is Software maintenence i had a old 1.5Ghz PC that ran faster than my mates newer ones because of the amount of stuff they had running at start up that eats ram up.

Granted they wont run Games like Crisis 3, but as far as running one to two taskes at a time and be they Web Surfing, Office Work, Music, Video (not so much HD) and playing basic Games these devices do a decent job.

They are small and compact, they have decent Battery life (netbooks 4-10 hours vs Laptops 2-5) and usually very cheap RRP $250 on a average Netbook compared to $400+ for Laptop.
