They are so much fun to watch them together. You would truly believe that they are in love...very sweet. Is that the chatter of a parakeet in the background? I had one many years ago (a cool little bird who picked up some nasty language no thanks to my dad and 2 brothers, lol!). BTW, I love your Dane; they truly are 'gentle giants':) I just noticed that your Dane's name is Athena; my brindle Dane was also named Athena, but unfortuneatly she died in the house 2 years ago (at the age of 5 months-bone cancer); my husband and I had her for only 2 months. Love your dogs though:)
I have a Chihuahua and a Great Dane too. The Chihuahua is the boss. If he takes her big bed the Dane lays on the edge trying to get a piece, scooting farther on the bed until the Chihuahua snaps at her to go away.
So very cute and funny. Danes are so expressive and Athena's reaction is priceless. You just know that Gracie is going to be the alpha dog. My 2 1/2 pound Chihuahua is the smallest of four dogs and one 15+ pound cat, and the little bitch rules the roost.

My 110-pound male yellow lab, Chief, apparently thought he was the father because he'd lay next to the puppy bed, and when they would climb out (barely five weeks, tinier than your Gracie is in the vid), he'd let them climb and chew all over him. And he'd just lay there on his back with a big smile. He just loved the puppies.

hahaha no they are great together.. gracie ( the chihuahua is almost a year old now and they are amazing with eachother.. Gracie bites the danes lips for play and stuff
They are both exceptionally cute, a lot of people have this combo, I suppose it is for attention! The largest and the smallest! I, personally, would rather have a Dane :) Their life expectancy puts me right off though, it is a shame.
