  • MERCER FOR PRIME MINISTER!

  • Telling the truth with a kick, keep doing what you are doing. I always watch RMR especially like your comment, thank you Rick Mercer.

  • Harper is a Machiavellian.

  • For those who aren't that aware of Rick Mercer, don't be fooled by the comments. Rick has criticized every party and probably sees no reason to bother donating to any single one. To the conservatives among you: you can be conservative without being complacent to lies and misinformation or following the Harper way. I know such people!

Let's also not forget that Rick is a COMEDIAN, and that it's silly to say that a news channel containing Kevin O'Leary and Rex Murphy is libreal-biased.

  • My god, this guy is actually 30s+... and yet he's also the same guy who made that immature, asinine video game comment. And the same guy who now picks a specific point apart to try to sound more legit. I almost fell for it, too...

  • Too late, Rick, too late.

  • Harper is a genius. This bothers Liberal ball washers like Rick to no end.Canadians gave Harper his majority knowing full well that this would lead to the end of welfare for political parties.I hope this does lead to the end of the Liberals altogether.Rick can just go and wash NDP balls....Hopefully the CBC will be torn apart and sold off. Then Rick and his ilk will have to go and get real jobs ,instead of living off the taxpayer, like all Liberals fell they are entitled to.

  • @russfromdodge

You don't have a democracy with one party.

  • @arsenelupin123 If you choose to support ANY party well then put YOUR money where your mouth is.Donate to your beliefs, don't depend on taxpayers, many who are disenfranchised with politics to fund them.Getting taxpayer cash is what caused the Liberals to lose respect for their supporters, they didn't need to woo you for money,it was rolling in anyway. They lost their followers when the little gang of ''Old Boys'' decided they know better than their grassroots supporters(no leadership conventions??)

  • The per-vote subsidy is an equal representation of votes that is lacking elsewhere. For most Canadians, that dollar is the extent of their support to the party for which they voted. They're not ideological enough to dig into their budgets for that purpose, nor are they rich enough to compete with the corporate donations that allow the Conservatives to outspend the other parties several times over (and that's just during elections). This is just another ideologue trap and I'm not falling for it.

  • @capefeather There are very strict limits on corporate donations, brought in by Jean Chretien in order to cripple his arch enemy,Paul Martin, who had a huge amount of corporate sponsors that could no longer help him.Tories get the vast majority of cash from their grass-roots,like myself.I donate $25 per election.Like most Tory supporters I will put my money where my mouth is,unlike those who prefer a Leftist view who feel the government should pay for everything so they can hold onto their cash.

  • @russfromdodge I get that people who support specific opposition parties should donate to them. But see, the vast majority of people don't belong to a political party. I doubt that most even really associate with a specific party enough to donate more than that $1 to it. But your condescending tone says it all; you're part of the loud minority who is too absorbed in political ideology to get that. All you see are evil, lazy left-wingers. I'll support average Canadians, not hate-driven ideologues.

  • @capefeather I do not belong and have never belonged to a political party.I have voted for every party at one time or another(except green),I even voted for Bob Rae back in the early 90's.I vote for who I think is best at the time and support them if I truly believe in what their aim is.The last 4 elections I have seen no other leader worthy enough to run the country. The Liberals promised the Sun and Moon above for years and were simply corrupt. The NDP are too Socialist...Who's left to choose?

  • @capefeather Corporate donations have been against the law since 2007 for federal politics. Personal donations cannot (legally) exceed $1100 per year to a single candidate. You can donate an equal amount to a party & its affiliates for a grand total of $3300/yr, not counting leadership campaigns.

The amount that parties are permitted to spend during an election is also strictly controlled, ~$20M per party for the last federal election.

    Source: Elections Canada

  • tipical liberal he runs his mouth and should look at are new national majority goverment .

  • To be fair, if I was that evil, I'd want a lot of bodyguards too.

  • The political subsidies are going to be removed now anyway and he got his majority.

  • holy crap......he kinda predicted the future. democracy has changed forever.....fkn harper

  • If that were true, people wouldn't be trying to push this on me.

  • We Have The Majority dumass..... and by the way stop sounding like a liberal

  • @Szowski your the dumbass, this video came out before the last election. stop sounding like a ignorant conservative

  • @Szowski Why do you capitalize "The Majority"? And this video is from the 2008 election. Oh yeah and you spelt "dumass" wrong. Dumbass.

  • Its so true. If anyone's from Thunder Bay, they understand. I've seen the security weaker on Canada day then when he visits the Bay.

  • @thegreenmonster420 Security thunder bay......BAHAHAHA

  • @dylanthecanuck HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i actually TOTALLY agree, but it is just funny how you said nothing wrong or mean or racist or anything, just that you like the man, and this has already been voted off LMFAO, but he is a good Prime Minister though

  • Love the Rant! We'd really like to hear your opinion on our rant-style video about an amazing documentary film, I AM. This inspiring documentary was created by Tom Shadyac, director of comedy films such as Ace Ventura, and Bruce Almighty!

    FEEDBACK IS WELCOME!

  • The sad part is that few people were aware that this was actually a plan by the neocons to make it extremely difficult for the other parties to come up with the amount of resources & financial support Tories have come to rely on. It is no secret that Harper & the Tories have several friends with really deep pockets, who are keenly aware that by supporting Harper, their pockets will become even more bloated. They consider the funds they give the Tories as more of an investment than a donation.

  • @dwayners13 Love it that the crazy subsidies are being cancelled! Canadians are outraged at politicians stealing our money. Interesting comment--how about letting Canadians decide where they want to put their money?

    Simple.....it called "choice".

(Love it when I simplify things for the left-wingers!)

  • @mikefastener Yeah, that seems fair. Destroy all of the other parties' funding, and get rid of other choices. 2 party system, here we come! /endsarcasm

  • @Max17766 You never addressed my comment (I guess you are afraid) about choice!

Oh well, Mr. Harper made a promise to Canadians to eliminate this welfare subsidiary to failed parties and now that Canadians have decided to give him a strong majority, it will happen.

Hard to argue with the facts....right?

(About now, most left-wingers run away as they have lost the argument….will that be you?)

    Just wondering….

  • @mikefastener 40% voted for him, the other 60% did not. Cannot wait until next election, when all of the baby boomers begin to die off, then we can get a governemnt for change in office.

  • @Max17766 Give me the details about the youth vote since it appears that many young people voted for Mr. Harper.

However, since "all of the baby boomers" will not die off until, like 2025...I am satisfied with 15 more years of Mr. Harper.

    Thanks for the good news!!!

  • @mikefastener Either that, or the young generation finally decides to vote out Harper. Face it, the young crowd does not like Harper or the Conservatives.

  • @Max17766 Well, I guess this "young crowd" as you call it....lost last week.

Tell them to, "get over it".

    Interesting summary to the discussion....agreed?

  • @mikefastener Lost? Maybe this round, but just wait until the NDP floors the Conservatives in the next election. Plus, wait for the provincial elections to turn in the favour of the NDP.

  • @Max17766 Yes, Yes, Yes--I have heard this before from the left-wingers....

"just wait", "just wait", "just wait"---at least for now, you have to admit....

Canadians have made their choice for a strong Conservative Majority government (just like Mr. Harper asked).

I can't believe the happy faces I see on the streets since this happened.

    Your experience?

  • @mikefastener Yeah, they destroyed the Bloc and sent the Liberals home crying. Next year IS the year, but thanks to Harper, the path may be a bit harder for the other parties.

  • @Max17766 A success for all of Canada!

    (Mr Harper's victory, of course!)

  • @mikefastener Harper is a disgrace. He wants to make Canada into America Junior.

  • @Max17766 Love that Mr. Harper is moving Canada into the "right" direction.

I guess Canadians must agree as they made him Prime Minister.

It looks like your opinion has been thrown aside by the voters.

    Just an observation.....

  • @mikefastener Only 40% of people voted for him. The other 60% did NOT!

  • @Max17766 Interesting that (I am pretty sure) a left winger like you did not complain when left winger lie-beral Chretien got to be Prime Minister at 40%.

You left-wingers must learn....hypocrisy is a dog that bits very hard!!!

Hope your back side is not too sore.

    lolol

(Love it when I educate left wingers!)

  • @mikefastener Sigh, I am tired of feeding the trolls.

  • @Max17766 I am tired of feeding the winger boys!

One comments on facts--winger boys get angry.

No wonder Canadian voters decided to bring in Mr. Harper.

Canadians are cheering for a return to a normal world.

The winger boys....just get so angry at the facts...get over it....we (Canadians) WON!

    Hope I educated you!

  • @mikefastener You have won this round, Mike! On the plus side, I think we can both agree on this, it is a good thing that the Bloc is gone.

  • @Max17766 Agreed about the Bloc.

  • @mikefastener I feel so bad explaining the facts to you, as you seemed so proud of yourself. It's clear you don't get a chance to correct someone often, otherwise it would not have been such a big deal. You see, countries that provide 'crazy subsidies' to legitimate political parties, actually have more parties for the electorate to choose from in elections. You mentioned you like choices, that is how you ensure more of them. Seriously this is highschool stuff ( Political Science 101 as best)

  • @dwayners13 Great to have more parties--sad that they lead to inaction.

I guess you want a paralyzed government like Italy?

(You may wish to consider re-taking that Political Science 101 course--or, maybe you missed that day!)

    Hope I educated you!

  • @mikefastener I'm really not sure of your point there, but um, ya you are right, so right. I don't know what I was thinking. You proved me wrong with your facts and witty repartee, oh ya and the perfect example of Italy. So no need to write me back right, because you are right & I was wrong, yup, no need to write any more, all your fancy knowledge would be wasted on me anyway. So remember you right, me wrong, no more comments please.

  • @dwayners13 I agree with you....Canadians are now laughing at your former left-winger point of view.

Congrats on joining the Harper Team.

More and more Canadians join everyday!

Just look at his majority for proof!

  • @mikefastener lol the douche with the nose and his merry band of retards suck...this election bombed noone was good it was like a buffet of agony

  • @mikefastener I like a good political debate as much as the next guy, however this conversation is really, well stupid. I'm sorry but it's like arguing with a 16 yr old kid about which team is better. No offense, but I got 3 messages from people who have ran into you on YT, 2 were very right leaning & actually apologized on behave of 'sane neocons everywhere' (as 1 put it). The other said while he 'appreciated' your vote, he referred to you as the 'embarrassiing cousin, you see once a year'.

  • @dwayners13 Interesting comment! I find many left-wingers tend to lie and masquerade a right-wing individuals to attempt to damage our reputation. You may like "a good political debate" as long as the participants agree with you. The messages I have received about the lack of any real points from left-wingers is endless (what really surprises me is their pettiness).

Oh well, get over it, the "right" party won.

Hope I helped you in your journey.

  • @mikefastener I can't believe I'm actually writing back, I realize denial is very powerful tool for those who can't face the reality that not only do people not like talking to you face to face, but also on line. Yes, your team won this election. I am sorry people from your 'team' also are embarrased by you, maybe instead of typing you need to look at youself, & get on MEDS! As long as your only argument is 'we won', it is not a debate NOW STOP SENDING ME COMMENTS PLEASE, YOUR ANNOYING!

  • @dwayners13 Yes, I am annoying-because of my debating skills and you hate when facts are used.

For a typical left-wing response--look 3 postings down at bevz2nikki's post. This is generally what I see and you can tell me if you are proud that it represents your image!

Candidly, the lie-berals got destroyed in the election. The NDP has less power than ever. Cdn's gave Mr. Harper a majority.

I am getting e-mails laughing at you--don't you feel embarrassed?

    Just wondering.

  • @mikefastener "Yes, I am annoying-because of my debating skills..." We already determined you have no debating skills and no facts. "The NDP has less power than ever" No, actually, the opposite is true! The NDP has more power than they have had in a very long time. "I am getting e-mails laughing at you....." Yes folks, mikefastener has gotten email laughing at every centre-left user on the site. We've seen this argument before and it's not true.

    Will you ever learn?

  • @gricer1326 "will you ever learn?"

    I guess you did learn.....on May 2nd!

    Glad to educate you!

  • @mikefastener You....are an idiot. I am not you. The question was directed at you. Will you ever learn, mikey?

  • @gricer1326 "will you ever learn"

Who won the Federal Election May 2nd?

  • @gricer1326 I love this previous post I found...one of many many posts dissing this idiot.. "mikefastener is a master-baiter"....gotta love it... "mikefasterner, you are a buffoon" ...."pinhead"....."you clearly cannont read, and make up your narrative as you go along"... I could write a good trash story on this guy.....and Mikey would likely love it....with his penchant to spouting trash all over the internet... His National Enquirer subscription is perfect for the rot in his cranium.

  • @paulfornasier Well...that doesn't quite work because there's nothing in there to rot. Master-baiter. That's perfect.

  • @mikefastener 2 more people have wrote me telling me to block you as you apparently have a tendency of cyperstalking people in order to get them to agree with you. The nice thing is, most of them are from the right & we have some pretty good discussions with facts/examples & they are not scary weirdos. You don't debate, you repeat yourself, & don't use any facts other then Harper won. You annoy & actually scare people, this is not normal behaviour, you seriously need mental health attention now!

  • @dwayners13 Sorry if the facts get you angry. I've seen this from left-wingers many times.

Good luck in that journey of yours.

(PS--I have found many left-wingers coming around...note Mr. Harper's victory on May 2nd.)

    Hope I educated you.

  • @mikefastener I can't believe how badly you interpret sarcasm!

  • @gricer1326 I can't believe how badly you interpret the will of Canadians!

  • @mikefastener Remember how we both agreed no elections are unanimous?

  • @gricer1326 "no elections are unanimous"....yes, I remember when I taught you that lesson.

  • @mikefastener So if no elections are unanimous, why do you (and harper) treat the May 2nd election like the vote was unanimous (it wasn't!)?

  • @gricer1326 Study some Canadian history on governing.

    It will do you good.

  • @dwayners13 Are you serious? Can you forward those to me?

  • I voted.

  • RICK is a genius

  • jcjccjcj@bs.com I watched this one again. Harper does not want cooperation, He wants to rule, destroy other partys, take away Canadian choice. He is a frightening man. He wants to do away with Social Progams, make Post Secondary education more expensive, Health Care harder to get. Reduce our Medicare. Canadians have always been a caring, compassionate society. Community is very important. Lets value looking after one another. That's who Canadians are. No Con Harper!

  • jcjccjcj@bs.com Yea Rick Mercer. Tell it Like it is! Where is the inherited economic surplus Harper ingerited? Lakes, Bodyguards, Ego. Environment Clean-Up, airplanes, irresponsible spending?? Not on Social Programs, Increase OAP,CPPD,Low income housing,InSite Safe Injection Site, Womens Resource Centers,Health Care, Nurses, ! Doctor for HOW MANY???Education.Tuition,Employment. What is the "Harper Govt For? Big Business,Criminal Cronies,Ego,Ego.Ruin Canada, Disrespect for Canadians!!!

  • Where does he always walk? Endless graffiti world

  • in the 4 years of stephen federal spending went like this:

healthcare ->increased by $21B per year

    education->increased by $11B per year

    cultrue->increased $3B per year

    \environment->increase 2B per year

    transportation+communications->increase by $7.5 B per year

social services->increase by $26B per year!!!!!!!

my goodness, how awful is that!

  • martin balanced the books by downloading to the provinces. then our dollar went from 80 cents to par and 30% of our manufacturing shut down. ontario went from being a have to a have not . federal revenues dipped sharply - zlmost $20 billion. from 2008 to 2009. from 2004 to 2008 net debt of provinces and federal dropped from $793b to $739B

  • economic stimulus is for retards

  • we have a deficit and what do we have to show for it? New housing, child care plan, a fair deal for natives, health care? none of those. Just lower corporate taxes.Bleh. Maybe he learned from Mike Harris about running a deficit to cut taxes, smart to cut taxes with money you dont have, and borrow to cover it.

  • Why don't my thumbs up or down show up on comments?

  • fuck harper

  • Liberal bias? What liberal bias?

  • @fatpoop619 I see you don't watch the show really closely -- he goes after Iggy too. And in any event, pointing out that Harper is a jackass, is hardly having a liberal bias. It's seeing the truth.

  • That's true! I hated harris! but I merely point out that one politician is no better than the next. In Canada, as well in a lot of other countries, they all LIE!

  • The Canadian government ran a deficit for 27 consecutive years from 1970 to 1997, amassing a total federal debt of $583 billion at the end of March 1997. It broke the $100-billion mark in 1981 and the $200-billion mark in 1985. While the growth slowed in 1988, our federal debt continued to climb, breaking $300-billion in 1988, $400-billion 1992, and $500-billion in 1994. It peaked in 1997 at $563-billion.

Trudeau, Mulroney, and Chretien. Thank You.

LPC or CPC ..demand balance budgets!

  • OK Wait a Minute. I have seen Prime Minister Stephen Harper at a NHL game with no body gaurds. He sits beside people who are partying like crazy!!

  • @greenmagic12 there were guards there. you just failed ti see them. they might actually been good at there jobs

  • Oh for Gods sake Rick , you saying we had no democracy before Chretein

  • A simple question. If Harper were to lose an election, who would you trust to run this country? And why?

I'm asking this because I've seen a lot of "kick Harper out" comments, but a lot of them are based on illogical fear and bullshit, like those "Obama is a Communist Athiest Muslim Satanist" comments our friends down south are raving about.

  • Harper is a liar and is dangerous.

  • money IS debt. it is the SAME.

  • YAY HARPER IS A GENIUS!

  • Why am I funding parties through votes and taxes??? wtf... doesnt it show more leadership and strength if you can go out, get off your ass and campaign for donations??? I wish Harper HAD gotten away with it, because you know what? If the liberals or NDP can't get enough DONATIONS on their own, they obviously are not gonna be able to run the country

  • @RedPheonix6 neither will the Conservatives

  • it's too bad that this show isn't more popular.

  • the baskin robbins comment is hilarious!

  • I like the allys this guy goes to for his rants. Where are they at?

  • he wonders up and down a series of allies south of queen west, between bathurst and spadina

  • Is it just me, and i know this is sort of a weird place to put this, but sholdn't you be allowed to read comments even if they get a lot of thumbs downs? Following an argument is a lot harder...

  • why do we need welfare for political parties and politicians?

  • That small amount of money is there to insure that opposition parties are able to advertise during an election campaign

With out it Rick is right there would be only one Party "the one in power" who could afford to campaign.

Yup there would be in effect only one party.

  • why cant the opposition parties raise their own money? There are obviously libs greens new dems, and so on out there, right? Why does this need tax dollars?

  • @ajgolfer1 The main reason is that Canada stops corperate/union money from going to political parties because it affects political process.

  • i agree about unions and corporations, but what about individual donors?

  • Individuals don't often donate money. I mean would you rather give money to united way or give money to NDP to run adds. If they do donate they want leaders with clear direction and large change. Liberals have a leadership problem and are moderate so they need government money.

  • and whats the problem with less donations? Just because the LIBS have a leadership problem doesnt mean we should bail them out, who do they employ? what do they produce? And the liberals being moderate is your opinion not a fact. Nobody's opinion alone should dictate policy.

  • @ajgolfer1 Are you referring to the campaign budget? The campaign subsidy matters because it puts the funds where the votes are, parties that receive votes will receive a proportionate amount of money. Many parties get most of their funding from these subsidies but the Conservative government gets more money from corporate donors. Without this subsidy this conservatives would have a big advantage.

  • FUCK, i wish i could draw like the people who spray paint them walls...

    Rick is the man,

all canadian givernment are scam artists, liers, and total douche bags...

  • Hey 'bumboy' er 'bunkboy' lighten up ok? Your attitude is terrible. And that's not a nice thing you said about your mother. You asshole.

  • @justofffish: Was that suppose to be a joke, or just being stupid.

  • I never found Rick Mercer to be overtly left or right wing. It's pretty much stupidity that he rants about.

Stupidity like calling someone gay in a lame attempt to discredit them because you don't agree with their criticism of your hero.Grade one mentality at best. If that's the best argument you have, do us all a favour and don't have kids.

Go ahead now, call me gay. Tell me my mother sucks pole. Call me a fu$king liberal retard. Because that's all you've got isn't it?

    oh, and don't vote, ok?

  • Rick Mercer is a member of the Conservative party.

  • @justofffish Why does it matter if hes gay its about what you say not who says it!

  • lmao

  • Anti Conservative = Pro Canada

  • Harper is a big fat liar, time and time again. Speak the truth, he'll shut you up. He's a dictator, by definition. The Canadian government is held hostage.

  • read a book on the in the last government we had in 2004 nothing was done

  • The Canadian governmental system allows every Prime Minister to behave as close to a dictator as any free nation.

  • @nefa2ious a dictator by definition? How long did it take you to write your own dictionary.

    Idiots abound.

  • 4l0t 0f gr4f1t1

  • And how many times in history have we had stimulus packages- the kind that was deemed necessary by virtue of large banks screwing up?

I'm not saying we need one, but if it weren't for socialism, Canada would not be what it is today. Minimizing government institutions simply means minimizing our role in running this country because the government is US. It is not a foreign or an alien entity that chases you around for your money.

What we have now is perfect. It just needs a slap on the wrist.

  • go move to alabama

  • BINGO!

  • this funding is like five years old!!!! How did democracy in the country exsist without it, I can't remember, we must have been a dictatorship, weren't the Liberals in charge

  • Maybe if the Liberals, NDP, and Bloc could actually fund themselves we wouldn't have to waste millions on subsidizing them.

  • Thunder Bay, lmao!

  • Harper only one with 30% that means a majority didn't want him back that's why our (Canada's) voting system is messed up

  • We need proportional representation.

The system we have now is much better than the USA's, but in proportional representation our votes would go to putting someone in office that we want. The Bloc would have less seats, the NDP more, Liberals More, Cons less, etc, etc.

  • anyone who thinks the liberals have done a good job in power, they are idiots. the constant trend is liberals get in, put us in debt, liberals get out, conservatives get in and pay off our debt, and they get blamed and shunned for the debt as well as privatizing companies or how i like to put it, putting the government into the hands of the people OR democracy.

  • Haha. Sorry to burst your bubble. But we had a surplus from Chretien and Martin. Now harper wants to put us in a deficit after he promised not to.

Privatizing companies is not putting the gov in the hands of the people. It's putting the gov in the hands of the corporations and businesses.

No matter how bad of a job the liberals may have done, it was and won't be any worse than Harper's circus.

  • Jean Chretien was the best PM since Trudeau.

We had a SURPLUS when Harper got in. Now he wants to make it a DEFICIT.

That is something that all sides are attacking the Harper government for because he promised he would never go into deficit.

  • Yup, there was a surplus when Stephen Harper got it. The Lieberals stole it all from EI.

  • Chretien also voted against making the Canadian banking systems like the Americans - a decision he was being harassed about but really it saved all our butts. During this recession if our banks were hit the same way as the Americans we all would be screwed.

  • @Propagandhi900 the reason harper is still in power is because there is no opposition that could do a better job.

i hate harper, but i also hate ignatief and layton because they're a bunch of pussys.

  • @PsychedelicVideos

Layton could do fine. He has publicly endorsed legalizing marijuana. He's no pussy.

  • all politicians are evil.

  • @PsychedelicVideos

Evil? No. The majority of politicians are liars and frauds.

But you can tell who they are by their support of the status quo.

Layton supports numerous changes. Although I wouldn't fully trust him either, I would prefer him and his policies over the conservatives and liberals.

  • @PsychedelicVideos wtf are you talking about "a bunch of pussys" have you seen Harper? What has he done?

  • @Propagandhi900 no we didnt dipshit, our economy was colapsing before harper got in and now the liberals blame him ike the gay french cowards they are

  • @SnakesWithGuns Fact: We had a Surplus under Martin.

Fact: The Canadian economy was NOT collapsing when Harper got in. I guess you have had a time lapse.

Fact: Harper promised on the campaign trail that he would NOT go into a deficit. He has gone into a deficit.

Fact: It's bigoted homophobes like yourself that would make me glad to see an NDP-Bloc Quebecois- Green coalition form the government.

  • @Propagandhi900

    Are you joking?..

Are you naive enough to think that if Paul Martin and the liberals stayed in power, that they would've continued a surplus into 2008/2009?

Canada (under Harper) was one of the fastest to show economic recovery in the post-recession era (2nd to only Norway IIRC) and yet we've had 4 elections in 7 years. You want to talk about a waste of money? these damn capaignsthat we have to watch every 2 years, because the opposition can't accept that they're the opposition.

  • @jokersgreg Stop loving the dick

  • @king15060 are you a idiot? Propagandahi sates true facts a reason why Harper should stay in power, and all you have to say is stop loving the dick? your political debate is outstanding i mean your good enough to join the liberal party.............................

  • @Baseshocks I enjoy this reply. I trolled and it worked. I could have typed out a nice informative, well thought out comment... but this worked well.

  • @king15060 so why don't your type out informative comments, or are you just an idiot. I'm also glad i gave you the highlight of you day a response to your stupid comment.

  • @Baseshocks Trololololol

  • @Propagandhi900

What in the fuck are you smoking? Cretien's cock?

  • @trogdor572 Homophobia, always the good route....

I'm not saying that Chretien was a great Prime Minister...his personality was amazing, he was an awesome guy, but I opposed many of his policies, especially economic.

However, I do rank him as the best PM since Trudeau.

  • @Propagandhi900 You should never vote for someone based on personality. At the end of the day I don't care what kind of person is running the government, as long as their policies are sound.

  • @trogdor572 I agree. I was just making the point. Policy wise, it's always been the NDP that has had the best platform.

  • @Propagandhi900 but the things that the NDP promises, would increase taxes critically

  • @AnotherProGamer If you ask Canadians what they want, it's pharmacare, it's universal daycare, homecare.

The only reason the NDP has not formed a government is strategic voting.

  • Like I said before. Martin had a surplus because he stole it from EI.

  • @elmiraviking EI is a tax on people that only helps Newfoundland. First only layed off people get it, then only if you worked for a certain amount of time, then they only give you money for how long they think it takes to get a job which means none for Ontario. You cant steal from a fund that does nothing!

  • EI works in Ontario, for the most part, there are some glitches but I'd say there are in any part of the country. And you think it's easy to get a job in Ontario? Not at the moment manufactures are closing left, right and centre, where do you think jobs came from in Ontario.

  • @Propagandhi900 ya the liberals stealing money from the people was shure a good thing personally I think any leader who frikin steals money from his own people should be lined up against a wall and shot.

  • @viper10011

Hell yeah. Soviet style. I'm a huge fan of Stalinism *eye roll*

  • @Propagandhi900 hahah i sorry to burst you bubble but if you want to keep things running in the middle of an economic crissis you have to go into a deficite.

  • @viper10011

Why do we have to go into a deficit?

Now Harper is planning on putting billions of dollars towards UNNEEDED military equipment (the F-35 jets).

  • @Propagandhi900 People are losing jobs..... because of banks being greedy down south... company not learning to adapt and laying off workers.....thats why. Are banks might be doing good but our economy is still tided into the U.S.

As for the F-35, I believe our Military should have the best out there. and this is 5th generation multi-role fighter. They should also start looking into getting some V-22 Osprey and UH-1Y's as our chopper fleet is pretty much scrapped.

  • @frosty848 The best out there is the eurofighter and the F-22. We need the best for our purposes. The eurofighter is equivalent in capabilities to the F-22, and they are better at different things, and yet it's cheaper than the inferior F-35. The Superhornet, or any of the latest Russian fighter designs would have worked as well. But no, that would mean not giving sole source contracts to American military corporations. That'd be blasphemy.

  • @viper10011 Or not spend money needlessly, and squander a surplus made by Liberals. Funny how it's the so-called "fiscal conservatives" that put us into debt, and the "spending liberals" that get us out of it. Yes, Trudeau may have put us into a fair bit of debt, but Mulroney quadrupled it, and then sold off our companies and natural resources to American ownership in the 80s with NAFTA.

  • @Propagandhi900

How much are we still paying off from Trudeau ? hehe. keep trying to kid yourself.

  • @00Billy

    ...i thought it's
