a long time ago the katori had also secret naginata and spear techniques. now they are lost. if only a view people know the okuden part, and they die, it will be lost forever.

also; the secrets are not obvious in the outer form of a kata. they will reveal themselves after many years of repetitions. only then the, so called secret kata, show their true meaning.

for a outsider, even the most secret kata, is nothing more than a empty bottle.
