Yep I have been on physio recently but somehow my muscles are still 'degenerating' - they are shrinking. The body seems to have compensated somehow coz after my physiotherapist did a strength test I found out my left calf is stronger than the right and the right quad stronger than left. They look clearly disproportionate but oh well..
my pcl completly torn i was in bed for about 2 months then i started the rehab, the doctor decided not to make me a surgery after 2 moths of rahab, he told me to go back and play sports and to have a normal life and it is not the same because i'm afraid of breaking my knee so instead of playing contact sports, i practice the track and field and also i do work out, trying to be a bodybuilder but i don't know my knee looks ok everyday so i think the key is to keep exercing to keep the knee strong
Hey, my doctor says I have PCL rupture, but my leg doesnt move like this. What that means? And I can walk almost normally, but i do have pain in that area where PCL is. Can anyone tell me is it PCL rupture?
nice. i had pcl reconstruction surgery three and a half weeks ago. i tore it mountain biking. the therapist says i am ahead of schedule on my recovery. i am walking more normally now and wear a brace just to be safe. i definitely remember the gnarly sag before i had the surgery.
The back of my knee or it seems more like the center or in the middle of my knee is sore when I move it a certain way but I don't get that forward motion like the video...if anyone know what it is let me know.
hi i finally went to a doctor about my knee my mri was misread 3 years ago my knee is in fixed subluxed posterior postion you know when you leg goes backwards? mine stays put I have nerve damage now im on meds and now im looking at surgery and i have a good doc now he reread mri films from austin open mri the miss read them Hartford shut off my insurance! they sent me to a desigated doctor who said my dislocated knee is normal! and he told me to go back to work with a dislocated knee!
he has to rebreak my knee and cut my bone and reset my knee! so my tib dosent sag! MY PCL is torn and my knee has been in out of socket in the subluxation fixed position for 3 stinking years cause the radiologist miss read my mri! and all the orthopaedic to follow used his mRi dont this stink! they all wouldnt listen to me!
oops you see that other guy? his is worse then yours and mine! I have done all that therapy on mine for 3 years!!! I can't sleep at nite! can't find a comfy spot for my knee hurts all the time! I can/t take this constant pain! It's time for me to get something done now!
yea okay. i'm getting followed-up with my spec in a couple of weeks.
i hurt mine when i was playing judo.
im against it because 1)it doesn't hurt that much 2)docs do not seem to be _very_ sure of PCL surgery. statistically speaking, PCL surgeries are far less common than that of ACL and without saying, docs are less experienced.
hey how is your leg now? What kind of surger did you have done? Did you get your PCL replaced or just repaired tell me all what has happened to you! I have the same problems you do! It took me five orthodocs till one finally recognized a torn PCL! duh!! I also have bilateral torn minucus!
finally I m going to see a doc in one week who can fix the menicus and the PCL Im hoping he can do this all arthroscopically! Nope they refuse to do a knee repacement Im too young! yet they keep me on disability till I get old so I can have one this really stinks eh? I sure hope this new doctor coming up in 5 days can do the trick! Im glad you didnt ruin your menicu too! how did you bypass not tearing them? have a good day!
Your knee looks exactly like mine i have a partially torn PCL i can move fairly well on it im looking at getting surgery next month!

hi there!
i've just had MRI done like couple of weeks ago.
thankfully my meniscus and bones are rather intact. PCL is COMPLETELY torn though.
(i'm against ligament replacement - the doc cautions against arthritis)
karebu 4 years ago
hey did you have surgery yet? let me know what they are going to do okay?
Im an xray tech I hurt mine at work! did a cement body slam! how did you hurt yours?
yours is worse them mine but it hurts!
what kind of surgery are you going to have??
let me know!
why are you against ligament replacement?

also i can do without sports and for that the doc expects my knee to last for 30-40yrs so that's pretty fine to me.
anyway i was told that you can compensate (partially) for the loss of the ligament by strengthening thigh and calf muscles.

it's pretty much the same and somehow i'm more conscious of the aches in my knee right now but i hope/don't think it has aggravated.
nope, still no surgery.
right now i'm still working on strengthening the surrounding muscles. it does compensate for the torn ligament; a bit.
oh dear. torn meniscus! you better take very good care of your knee or i believe you may have to replace your knee =(

yes hopefully he can do it thru the scope.
i've got a fren who did a knee replacement . it doesn't look as good as it sounds now.
i've got no idea why they are still intact. but they thankfully are=D
