I will admit that, and I knew you would point that out as I noticed it too, I mistimed the boost to properly dodge the laser and luck got me out in time.
Starcraft is awesome.
You should try the Siege Tank.

The first is starcraft, the actual fight is Fraxy, Google it, you can download many many bosses at the fraxy compendium (link is on my profile)
