Eric, this is going to sound stupid, but I'm a relatively new mac user and wondered how the hell you and the other tutorial creators record on your screen, and zoom into focus on particular areas of focus. Can ya help me out with that? :)
Re: the "disappearing hands on the clock" the answer requires a bit more time than your videos would allow. A call to Apple Support involved a "2d/3d" explanation....and a panning out process. It seems that the face of the clock and the hands on the clock are two separate layers.
The same thing happened to me as it did to you. In your third camera what happened to the hands on the clock? They disappeared. Same with me at a certain frame all of a sudden the clock hands disappeared. Why?
The answer (for me) is to have the Motion app open and follow each step of the tutorial as it goes along. Just go back and forth (at every step) and do what Eric is doing.
There is no way (unless you are a geek) to memorize these tutorials and then open the application and mimic the process. Not gonna happen!
But, if you are a total idiot like me and you follow the process as I said: you can't miss!
Nice Video but i think it need more effects.. you can get nice video effects plugins and addons from aries-films file section. Just google for Aries-Films man.. pc
Not exactly. We live in a 3D world. This is 2D graphics. Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but wouldn't you need a whole different perspective of the same scene to do this with real life footage?
ya...unless you use a green screen and do a 360 pan around the person assuming the green screen is 360 degrees, you could choose any angle you wanted.
yeah i'd be able to afford it in a few months (in aus its 1,700 so thats like the same now that our dollars worth shit all)
other thing, i read on the final cut page on the apple website that all the tutorials take up a shit load of room, i take that u can use custom installer and choose not to install that\
(ps fking brilliant tutorials and mac v pc, thinking of starting myself)
That Command signal that keeps coming up, what does it do?
