  • What would be the best way to go about tightening up ones timing?

  • @MrUsedBooks Best thing is just to make sure you're always focusing on timing - you can work on it whenever you play anything. Working with a metronome or drum machine and getting it spot on is a good way to work on it, and playing along with your favourite songs is a fun way to work on it, even if it's not as effective. :)

  • That +16th is wicked.

  • Great video as usual FP. Just letting you know that the link to the Dream Theater song at ~ 3:12 links to the Freak Kitchen song when I click it, which is probably not what you intended.

  • @leetsk1llz Many thanks, fixed! It's in Dance of Eternity of course! :D

  • Thanks a lot for doing these videos. I haven't played guitar in like 2 months, kinda lost the love for it :/

But your videos made me pick it up and try these exercises out :)

  • please dont use crash cymbals when there should be open hi hats. it hurts my ears^^

  • @molapft Oh, whoops, herp derp! Spot the guitarist programming drums... >.>

  • im lovin these videos, please make one about legato! cheers

  • @newyearsprayer glad to hear it! The legato lessons are incoming, I've been meaning to do them for the last 4 years! >.<

If you watched this the minute it came out you might want to try again now it's got fancy annotations and links and tabs and such. Youtube seems to instantly make things public even though I mark it private while uploading - and then you have confusing rhythms and no notation! :S
