Liked a lot the idea of your application, I'm just not sure about the power saving aspect. Won't the monitoring of accelorometer all the time cost more battery life?
Thank you for such a clear explanation of this app. I just downloaded Screebl Pro as part of the free app of the day promotion at Amazon Appstore. I am testing this on my Samsung Vibrant and Nationite Midnite (Wits A81H+)
I like your video and I don't see anything wrong with it. This makes you look more relaxed that some corporate marketing executive. I like how creative you were in marketing this product, while still covering all the main features. This is a very sensible product to use.
If You Have An Android Phone I Recomend Getting The Amazon App Store For Android!(You Will Have To Download It From The Internet)The Paid App For Free Today Is Screeble Pro!
Its a cool app, but why he gotta keep turning around before ever take? Did they go to the forest just to shoot this video? Its not that serious. Its just an app.
@keyesdav My guess is that this will actually use quite a bit of battery power constantly checking my phone's orientation. Is it intelligent enough to only poll the sensor at an interval 1-2 seconds shorter than my screen timeout setting (i.e. it checks every 28 seconds if I have my timeout set to 30)?
This video made me nod my head in agreement many times and I've just installed the app. If this increases the usability of my handset I'll buy the $2 version, no question.
Sorry!! when i asked the overly-general-silly question of what android phone, i forgot to add..... my budget is £200 - £350, large screen on 2.3 gingerbread.
Instead of turning off the screen, I would like the option to darken it right down for a few mins (configurable) then turnout screen. Also a real nice to have, instead of turnout, just black screen so that you don't have to unlock the screen. Thanks a bunch this is a great so.
@Hexnilium Until you spot some couple shaggin in the bushes.... lol. I have had enough of apple now. Free bumper, your holding it wrong..... i also bought the apple tv....... junk!! Wasted too much money with apple already. What android phone would anyone recommended for migrating from ios.
@keyesdav "Search, gmail, calendar, contacts, picasa, youtube, etc." i use all of these apps in my life, with no additional alternatives. Thanks.
This app does something that needs to be standard in all mobile phone devices.
I often had to set my screen shutoff timer to 2 minutes or I would have to constantly click the screen, press buttons, etc. to keep the display from either dimming or shutting off.
I love your app! I've only had it for a few minutes but I get the concept and love your idea! Best thing IMO that I've purchased. Been looking for a solution for this and I'm glad that there's smart folks like you with a solution at hand! Bravo!!
Looks great but my only concern is what happens when you just drop it in your pocket while walking does the screen stay on the entire time the phone is in your pocket in the vertical position?
Just tap the power button before you drop it into your pocket. I haven't used it long, but I don't think Screebl brings your phone out of hibernation, only prevents it. At least, that's what i think.
Thanks mortenlu. I'm glad that you like the idea. I highly recommend that you get an Android-based device. Particularly if your life involves a lot of Google (Search, gmail, calendar, contacts, picasa, youtube, etc.), it's nicely integrated.
Hey Tengzelius. Thanks for the feedback. Your suggestion is on the list. I had considered such a feature, but chose not to implement in lieu of other features (limited time). It's in the patent though!
How about going further than just turning of the screen? Does the andord have any kind of hibernation mode? The you could make it hibetnate when you hold it upside down. like it would be in your pocket.
What difference does it make where video was shot at? Maybe he wanted a relaxed setting, geesh, at least he got the info across.
