Thank you for such a clear explanation of this app. I just downloaded Screebl Pro as part of the free app of the day promotion at Amazon Appstore. I am testing this on my Samsung Vibrant and Nationite Midnite (Wits A81H+)

I like your video and I don't see anything wrong with it. This makes you look more relaxed that some corporate marketing executive. I like how creative you were in marketing this product, while still covering all the main features. This is a very sensible product to use.

@keyesdav My guess is that this will actually use quite a bit of battery power constantly checking my phone's orientation. Is it intelligent enough to only poll the sensor at an interval 1-2 seconds shorter than my screen timeout setting (i.e. it checks every 28 seconds if I have my timeout set to 30)?

Instead of turning off the screen, I would like the option to darken it right down for a few mins (configurable) then turnout screen. Also a real nice to have, instead of turnout, just black screen so that you don't have to unlock the screen. Thanks a bunch this is a great so.

This app does something that needs to be standard in all mobile phone devices.

I often had to set my screen shutoff timer to 2 minutes or I would have to constantly click the screen, press buttons, etc. to keep the display from either dimming or shutting off.

Screebl fixes this :)

Looks great but my only concern is what happens when you just drop it in your pocket while walking does the screen stay on the entire time the phone is in your pocket in the vertical position?

Just tap the power button before you drop it into your pocket. I haven't used it long, but I don't think Screebl brings your phone out of hibernation, only prevents it. At least, that's what i think.

Thanks mortenlu. I'm glad that you like the idea. I highly recommend that you get an Android-based device. Particularly if your life involves a lot of Google (Search, gmail, calendar, contacts, picasa, youtube, etc.), it's nicely integrated.

How about going further than just turning of the screen? Does the andord have any kind of hibernation mode? The you could make it hibetnate when you hold it upside down. like it would be in your pocket.
