Religion was never responsible for violence. Whatever the justification, it is always human beings who are responsible for violence. Even without religion, we could bank on the fact that there would still have been plenty of violence in human history. How is the hip hop culture (or any other subculture for that matter) really any different from religion? It's just another form of conformity that can be used to manipulate people.

The fact that they used the child to show their views was an important part of that video. Without that it would be nothing. Just look at the feedback! Also note that this is youtube, not National TV. Putting the child on O'Rielly's show, that made countless more people aware of it. The whole world doesn't log on to their computers to watch the main page of youtube. Also, the ultimate abuse of a child? I think not.

Religion in it self is idealistic, and unrealistic to human nature, thus creating conflict between people. The truth is without religion 95% of the wars in history wouldnt have ever been. Religion can be a comforting value in the presence of your upper middle class suburban household, but historically, on a global scale it has consistently caused conflict.

Actually, violence and killing were in the old testament which was JEWISH tradition, granted christianitys foundations are obviously built upon that, however the new testament clearly states that you are to love your enemy, turn the other cheek, love thy neighbor, etc. Nowhere in the fullfillment which became the new testament does it condone killing nonbelievers. There are extremists in every religion unfortunately, but christianity itself is NOT extremism.

There is too close a corelation between the Jewish religion and the Jewish race. Just swaping the word Jew for Christian would make a racist comment as opposed to a critisism of a particular theology. Substitute Christian for Buddhist, Pagan, Scientologist, or any other religion not currently associated with a particular race "and you'll see what I mean."

That's a distinct possibility. But IF the Republicans come back in in 08, it will NOT be any Bush/Cheney/DeLay -type crew that O'Reilly supports, but more responsible, "reality-based" Republicans, like McCain, Giuliani, Romney, etc. (I don't agree with them, but they're serious people.)
