For the shaper you can just use hairspray if you runout of shaper

Be careful hairspray can flake and make it look like you have dandruff. I tried it and it is not even close to the shaper.

I have a new era hat that doesn't fit my head as well as my other ones. The crown is too high. Would this be able to fix that? Or does it work only on damaged hats?

@Sn0ow The recap kit will round out the look of high crown caps it give them a more modern shape. The shaper is excellent to be able to mold the shape of the cap and keep the flat bill flat.

Nice video. How about New Era coming out with a kit that shows us how to clean the inside of the hat. The inside rim is exactly what I am talking about. The part that, after time, gets so saturated with sweat, it starts to smell funky.

I have used this kit alot. It works great. but if you have a really dirty white cap. you need to carefully wash it in cold water and woolite use the re-cap cleaner to pre treat the stains. Then put is on the form don't over inflate it. Then put the shaper on and let it dry. It does and excellent job of getting back the shape and pettery good job of cleaning and it don't smell.

yeah i lost mine in the car and recently found it under the seat,, but ive searched a bit and the army way -kinda- worked you just soak the parts you want back in shape and stuff it with whatever in the shape you like and let it dry , if there are any other wrinkles in it , you can jus flat iron ? it a bit

I got one of these for Christmas and it is the best thing I got. I wash mine in the sink with soap and water after I use the cleaning spray and it seems to get cleaner.

I think your test was fair. I have a recap kit . And I like it also. I find that it works perfect on shaping old wrinked caps. I hand wash some of my caps and then just shape them.
