As I've always stated on various clips of hers: The '60s wouldn't have been the magical, fun, crazy, wild, enchanting and fascinating era, filled with such amusing classics (both with the films and music-wise) had it not been for Asha Parekh. To me, she defines that certain era intensively. She was original in everything that she did, which is one of the main reasons why I'm so "attached" to her and have extensive support for her. The lady was the reigning queen from 1959 (the same time when her first film "Dil Dekhe Dekho" with Shammi Kapoor was released) to 1973, respectfully "passing on" the throne to Hema Malini (who happens to be my MOST favorite actress EVER). Two AMAZING female figures of cinema who have contributed immensely to cinema. I will forever be in awe of them. A die-hard and dedicated fan 'till the end!
