  • i just adore her in Love in Tokyo!!!

  • Asha was a fine dancer, like Waheeda, Padmini,Saira etc..but THE CROWN OF smartest dancer belongs to ONE AND ONLY VYAJYANTIMALA. They all danced superbly especially on SJ music. Hema did in SANYASI.

  • You are right - NanaMamu - Right on the Money - Great Comment - You have snatched words from my mouth. I can watch her all night long - she represents beauty - her style of blushing and her tom boy antics - her dance - her eyes - her lips - everything - PERFECT

  • Asha was so feminine and graceful not like actresses nowadays! mind u times are different now cant see actresses doing that now...can you?

  • Asha was an excellent classical dancer. This is such a beautiful dance. I also enjoyed her dance in Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon.

  • Padmini was best among others as a dancer. Unfortunately, her carrer in Bollywood did not lasted long and she did few films. But even though she earned fame as a dancer.

  • the music of the song is set in the scale (or raag) of Darbaari Kannada

  • love this classical number

  • a typical Indian classic beauty. I have watched most of her movies. I think she is my most watched indian actress. She had a class in a woman she portrayed on Indian cinema, a perfect woman any lover would love to have in his life. .

  • Right on the Money - Great Comment - You have snatched words from my mouth. I can watch her all night long - she reprsents beauty - her style of blushing and her tom boy antics - her dance - her eyes - her lips - everything - PERFECT

  • Love this classic song and clip from "Love in Tokyo". Absolutely adore Asha's dancing and her cute ways.

At the 0:51 mark, the world can catch her completing the "Asha Parekh move", something that she, herself revolutionized. I'm sure all the HUGE Asha fans out there will know what I'm referring to:)

Thanks for the upload, Rajshri. Love it!

  • In this gem of a clip, she is the epitome of a "Dance Goddess" and "Fashion Queen"! Her princess-like attires, coupled with those extravagant accessories give her the TRILLION dollar look. Her face radiates the entire screen, and those captivating eyes make Joy Mukherjee "melt" from seduction. He can't believe as to whether that GODDESS in front of him is real or an angel from the skies.

  • While other heroines at the time were lost in the light of fame, glamour and corruption, Asha Parekh was cooking up a plan for the next step of her career. Always a perfectionist and one who, as they say, "thought ahead", she constantly sought for ways to better herself (as if that was even possible) and reach heights that others before her hadn't done so. No wonder she will always be remembered as one of the CLASSICS who helped "shape" the face of cinema; cinema that is gone, but not forgotten.

  • The actress who was responsible for, single-handedly, refining the image of the '60s Indian Cinema. Everything began and ended with her. Hindi Cinema without her would not have that usual sweet "flavor", "aroma", nor "essence". She was a unique individual, both on and off the screen, who set her own rules and abide by them, without the help of others. The perfect example of the words "Individual", "Independent", and "Governess"! One of a kind, indeed!

  • Goddess of allure, queen of enticement, godmother of charisma, glamour, fascination, elegance, extreme confidence and both inner and outer strength. A woman of such endurance, influence and vigor. I can go on for days, even weeks, praising this phenomenal icon of cinema who acted as an inspirational figure in my life and will continue doing so for the years to come. I love her dearly, for she was an enormous turning point of my childhood years. There will NEVER be another quite like her!

  • wow you really love her don't you!- good for you and her

  • Yes, sloppyviewer, I extremely LOVE and RESPECT her, as not only an artist, but as a human being, more importantly a woman:) To me, she possesses such important and notable characteristics of a woman that as a female myself, I can not only admire and value, but also relate to. She is THE ideal woman! She's a joy to watch, both on the black and white AND on the color screen. On top of all, she was/is responsible for introducing so many new concepts to the directors/producers/designers:)

  • As I've always stated on various clips of hers: The '60s wouldn't have been the magical, fun, crazy, wild, enchanting and fascinating era, filled with such amusing classics (both with the films and music-wise) had it not been for Asha Parekh. To me, she defines that certain era intensively. She was original in everything that she did, which is one of the main reasons why I'm so "attached" to her and have extensive support for her. Asha Parekh RULES - ALWAYS AND FOREVER!

  • The lady was the reigning queen from 1959 (the same time when her first film "Dil Dekhe Dekho" with Shammi Kapoor was released) to 1973, respectfully "passing on" the throne to Hema Malini (who happens to be my MOST favorite actress EVER). Two AMAZING female figures of cinema who have contributed immensely to cinema. I will forever be in awe of them. A die-hard and dedicated fan 'till the end!

That's HOW MUCH love I have for the both of them; ever since the age of five, 'till now (I'm 19):)

  • She was very versatile and what a dancer... Love her work. total ICON of the indian film world.

  • ASHA PAREKH YOU ARE AWESOME

  • ASHA PARIKH is an complete artist. She did thier good job

  • Beautiful song bringing so many memories

Asha ji did superb job in this song.

    Thanks for uploading
