Hehe, by the way, if you know some 4X-classics, they released the Space Empires series before it went to Strategy First and Weird Worlds (simply an awesome Sci Fi-minigame)
Since I've bought some stuff of them I simply have a very divided opinion of them. On the one hand it's cool they release hardcore wargames that surely aren't for everyone, on the other hand some of their prices are simply too high. Their discount actions also don't change that too much ('cause you have to pay 30 or 40 dollars for a package of games anyway). Individual discounts would be better 'cause there's always some uninteresting stuff in the packages.
Yeah, this is the biggest problem of this Indie publisher, Shrapnel Games. They simply put way too high prices on their games, which aren't always worth that much, I think. Worst example yet: World Supremacy. You got a half finished game for 29,95! That was one of the biggest buying mistakes I made regarding Indie games. Can't value this game, because I have to try the demo before. ALWAYS TRY THE DEMOS at Shrapnel Games. You won't get a refund if you buy downloadable versions!
Played the demo, fair idea and fun for some minutes, overall it's almost at the level of some good open source (free) games, with many limitations. BUT the game's real flaw is the price.
I was so surprised to read that it costs.....$40 USD !? that is what you pay for real software. Even the webpage looks amateur.
@ruchittenme I think Tantrosos point is that this game is at the level of average level open source games (which you describe as ("garbage buggy and filled with errors") just that for this one you have to pay 40 bucks :)
It is a shame, if they offered good multiplayer and player gathering (so you have someone to play with) it could be a much better product.

@Tantrosos Open Source games are garbage buggy and filled with errors. I would rather play Pong then have some open source garbage on my computer.

Oops...
"The largest naval 'stuggle' in history."
But the demo plays great for those of us who love historical strategy and don't precious little game time.
