  • I will do that when I get a chance. Please, keep up the fight. We are hurting eBay really good.

    Keep spreading the word!

  • not enough views

  • Agreed. Not enough views. Nothing against the other people who made videos about this, but this one is my favorite out of them.

Was there another version of this they deleted?

The other thing that is too bad is that so much BS happens so fast with ebay no one can even keep up with it.

I still can't believe they did this and no Gov't SEC FTC etc investigation.

We all saw it happen. We all know the story. We all also saw ebay lie, cheat, delete..

    OMG! What a crooked corp!

  • Thanks for a great comment.

There was a previous version which used the 4 Non-Blondes version. I had approval to use it but, a week after eBay saw this video UMG suddenly withdrew their Copyright approval. Thus, now a DRM-free version. Coincidence? Perhaps.

At any rate, we need people helping spread the word & pushing this video. The only way to get it to get more views.

Thanks again & keep fighting, it IS working.

    Tim

  • Thanks. Yeah they got a bunch of mine silenced too.

Thought I read somewhere that there was a connection between wmg and ebay through that Bain corp, where Donahoe came from.

Nothing would surprise me about the crooks at ebay or what they think they can do. If you get a chance go watch some of my movies. They are all anti-evilbay and anti paypunk.

  • I'd be a whole lot more apt to spread the word if the sites you are supporting were different. I have a storefront on Ioffer, But rather sickened by the ammount of real corruption that exist there. I'm not a fan of Chris Fain and think he does very little to drive traffic to OLA as is evident by the 37k month user traffic which is 20k less than bonanzle that just started 6 months ago.

I'm all for bonanzle, auctiva commerce, atomicmall and ecrater...that's the word I spread vigorously.

  • I utilize Auctiva but I fear they are in too deep with eBay. Im hoping they are breaking away from eBay with their new store system.

Im in hopes maybe we can pick up Bonanzle & eBid but, I leave that to the boycotters. Once the market changes we may change as well.

While OLA is where I am happy, the boycott efforts are greater than one person or one site. We have a job & that is to see eBay correct itself or build a new site that listens to the community. This takes time.

  • great video as alway Tim!

Hey, Any chance of supporting Bonanzle? It really is an awesome site that is growing rapidly and has a strong base of ebay boycotters.

  • Thanks for the accolades. Please help spread the word, and help get this video to the top

There's always a chance. We've had two changes this year; so, who knows what will or can happen in the near future. Bonanzle and ebid seem to be pretty favored right now, so, it might. I just cant say. It all depends on how the others fare, and how the customer service rates. Then how the boycotters vote.

  • Tim: Great Video. As usual you give out the correct information everyone needs to know about Ebay.

    Littlemsk

  • Thanks LilMs. Appreciate that. I do try my best to get the most accurate info out.

  • Ebay is dead. go to ioffer, i just sold another rare item there that once could be found on ebay. If you want cheap chinese crap that will kill your dog and make your kids retarded, by all means shop ebay.

  • At present Ioffer is one of three sites we voted to support. Onlineauction and etsy are the other two.

I'm glad to be hearing of people finding success on sites other than ebay. And, while I am sorry sellers that remain are typically seeing a decline in sales, I'm glad to see ebay struggling.

The boycott IS working. And it's due to the hard work and perserverance of people like you.

    Tim

  • For those unaware eb is closing down eb France, and several Eurpopean offices are either closing or being scaled way back. In addition, it appears they have now done away with "LiveHelp"

    LMAO!!!

I feel safe in saying the Boycott, combined with J. Donahoe's "disruptive innovation" scheme is having a major impact. Perhaps they did not foresee.

So let's eee now... stock shares down +/- 60%, Layoffs, looking for buyers for their various other sites, eb express closed down...

    lmao. Need I go on?

  • Hey thanks for the extra info. As you can imagine, having been doing the boycott since Feb., it's hard to keep up with everything. I depend on everyone to keep me up to date.

Btw, I don't know if Ive ever mentioned to you, but I appreciate all the hardwork youve done with your videos and the boycott. Great work.

    Tim

  • Better in widescreen. :)

There are still so many unanswered questions about that event it is not funny... Like for instance, how could alleged buyers of those mystery listings (which did not even have buy or bid buttons) have purchased them? But lots & lots of them showed to, by virtue of the fact that they left feedback for the mystery listings.

Recently I read a post alleging that eb has been paying folks to buy things since the Boycott started too.

    Too funny.

  • Thank you!

You are correct, we made them, we can change them or help them fail. They seem very content failing. I'm not shedding any tears in their failure.

I am shedding tears, however, in that they have hurt so many people. They must realize they are hurting real people, and hurting themselves as well. I just pray that we can build up a replacement site, a site that will help everyone who has been hurt this year by ebay. A site that wont forget those who built them up.

  • I say AMEN to that comment Tim!

  • Tim Great job glad to have met such a wonderful person, thanks so much for everything you do for the boycott as well as all you do for OLA!

God Bless you and yours This Holiday season!

    {{{Hugs}}}~~~Linda

  • Thanks Linda.

Thanks for your support of the boycott!

It's more important today than ever to get the word out! Because of your efforts and the efforts of everyone else, we have indeed hurt eBay's bottom line! They want to blame the economy, but we know it's because of the boycott!

Merry Christmas to you as well.

  • Thanks so much.

It's taken a while to find a DRM-free version of the song! But, it's here.

  • Totally awesome job with this one Legends!
