I just stumbled across a clip of "Get Smart" and immediately said "WOW, this is the perfect role for Steve Carell!" Too late, it seems they've already shot the movie! LOL I'm actually slower than Hollywood now. (SHAME)

Anne Hathaway is a lovely girl, but she is beyond terrible casting for 99. She's neither sexy nor slick like Barbara Feldon was. It's a mean thing to say, but she's just not pretty enough.

Too bad, I would have liked to see the film but she is just too wrong for the role for me to tolerate.

Well ,you should actually see the movie before saying that. I bet I can find a thousand people who could contradict that saying. Anne is sexy, and slick. She is one of the most gorgeous people in hollywood. In the movie, you could tell she worked hard in getting the way she did. She did most of her own stunts. Also, Steve Carell. You would have NEVER expected him to star in an ACTION movie. He pulled it off, VERY well. Looks can be decieving, williamsrawlinson.

Get Smart was one of my favorite television show, but somehow, the trailers and pics of the movie, don't seem to measure up to the show. I'm probably going to be attacked by ANGRY POSTS, but somehow Ads of Anne Hathaway's hair blowing in front of Steve Carell's face, don't remind me of bold Don Adams(Maxwell Smart) and his loyal parter Barbara Feldon(99). But, I MIGHT BE WRONG. The movie might be better than other "comeback" movies (BEWITCHED, LOONEY TUNES), and I am hoping so.

After suffering through at least two wretched modern incarnations of this classic TV series (the Nude Bomb, Get Smart Again!) I like Vidhater was tempted to write off this newest one. However after seeing this press conference there is some hope that they will stick with the subtle sophistication that made the original memorable. One can only wait and see.

One good sign: that Steve Carell is a dead ringer for Don Adams

I don't care what you guys tell me. This movie is going to be a Hollywood BOMB like other "Comeback" movies like Bewitched and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. Which makes it even more depressing since the TELEVISION show was so creative. Wouldyoubelieve DOT com has the PLOT to the movie if anyone wants it though.
