Oh my word. So that's what it was like. It looks excruciatingly bad and would have been awful in 1995. To think that this was a year after Beneath a Steel Sky!
See, it would have required a fair bit of actual programming ability to make this, since I don't think there was any equivalent of the Wintermute engine for the Amiga, and Joe Public couldn't make CD32 games anyway.
@hyphz Exactly. But since Bovis has proven beyond any doubt that he's not even capable of learning a simple Adventure game scripting language, I would surmise that any actual programming on this demo was done by someone else.
@2.28: They used the same corridor backdrop when he's walking to the camera, and when he's walking away from the camera. So it's like he's just pacing up the corridor, and then back down it again :D
@2.32: So he's walked from one room, into... another room with the exact same backdrop! Glad to see these guys didn't lose their creative touch - there wasn't any to lose in the first place.

4:28 Stuck? Try logic!
I see what they did there. And I don't find it in the least bit amusing.

He walks back to the exact same spot after each and every action? That's some incredibly half-assed coding.
Still, it would be interesting to see a more complete version of this. Maybe there's prototype out there that could be leaked to the public?

There old limited graphics at least we're pretty original. As original as any game can be that is.

Nice video, but you definitely should have hidden the Windows mouse pointer during screencap.

I hate it when game devs boast about their games' technical features

I think this would've been better than the final game, if only because it has 50% unique content and not 5% unique content.
Still, the graphics are very amateurish and MSPaint-like, nothing like the 256 color masterpieces in games at the time!

That's a payge! HURF! HRMF! WALK WALK WALK
The sounds in this demo have to be one of the most annoying things I've ever heard.

The intro screen boasts "Unique character intelligence". Can't argue with that.

Even this version looks far superior to the current drivel that everyone's following on rpg net.
