There's nothing more epic than taking on the two pyramid heads with the chainsaw after they kill Maria.

And the chainsaw is great for bosses, and taking on single enemies in hallways.

Not to mention every weapon in the game is horrible because the combat is supposed to be wonky in Silent Hill games.

The first time I ever played this game, I popped it in and instead of starting with the opening cutscene and walk through the forest, it started me at the save point just at the entrance of the town (through the gate, on the table with 2 or 3 health drinks nearby) and I had the chainsaw.

I'm not sure how the console versions work when attacking considering the only version I have is the PC version, but just tapping the attack button once while in the ready mode will lunge, holding it down though will cause it to swing
