i love my cliq, and the battery is pretty powerful for a 3G phone, above average, but I hate the fact that the battery LIFE is being taken up so much due to being connected to a motoblur account constantly. ugh.

i dont get why people buy shitty underpowered and cluttered android phones. The 30/mo data plan quickly negates any savings you get by buying the cheap phone. All it does it make the 30/mo plan less pleasant to use.

CLIQ: I like the longer lasting battery, the 5 MP camera, the 3.5 mm headphone jack and the MOTOBLUR feature on the Android OS.

What do you get out of a Sprint Hero that you won't have in the CLIQ? Sense UI?

honestly its a loose loose with touch pro...its on windows mobile and we all know iwndows mobile fails. yeah the hero is nice... especially the multitouch and flash on web pages! BUT you need to move on from the G1///im very unhappy with mine and this is my alternative. plus i also heard that this phone has multitouch gestures....so well be in luck!

They've already ported a BLUR ROM to the G1 and Mytouch. Why don't you just root your G1 and install HERO on it, there are many ROMs that run HERO really well.

actually its not realyl a blue rom. jestersBLUR is more of a theme.

drizzys and maxisma blur roms are hero roms with blur effects

Did you get your Android 1.6 upgrade yet? You might just stay with your G1. It brings you just about all the features that the Sprint Hero will. You can get FreshFace for example to get a similar environment.. Sprint's coverage is not nearly as good as T-Mobile's. You will regret making the move.
