Darwin Camacho is indeed the BEST tour guide EVER!!

I just came back from Machu Picchu and we were lucky enough to be in his group!

I whole-heartedly recommend this man to anyone looking to visit the BEAUTIFUL place of Machu Picchu! I believe he is with "Peru Sightseeing" Agency.

What Darwin proposes makes SO much sense. Any house or building, if left to the elements without a roof and proper drainage facities, will not last very long. The authorities are not only robbing from this cash cow but they are allowing it to slowly disintergrate so that it really will be, "The Ruins of Machu Picchu", because they do not want to spend the money they steal. Very very sad.

This bloke Darwin,(nicknamed Charles), is as inspirational as ever. My wife, una Peruana, and I were lucky to have him as a guide when we visited in 2008. I was so enthused by his presentaion that I bought his book. I'm afraid he is between a rock & a hard place in his endeavours for the preservation that Machu Picchu deserves from present authorities, for the same reason the Spanish stole so much from mankind by killing the Inca leaders off,,, GREED. Why spend money on needed preservation ??
