It is most certainly you. Actually, I'm pretty impressed that he's kept that range and tonal quality in his late 40's. Listen to the song again - he's spot on. Great song and well sung.

I know you like Roland more than Curt. But you need to acknowledge that there are some songs Roland cannot sing with the same feeling as Curt and vice-versa. This song fits Curt's vocals perfectly and so does 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World'. Whereas on 'Shout' and 'Year of the Knife', Roland's vocals are needed. It has nothing to do with who is a better or more powerful singer but it is just that there are some tonal qualities that fit a particular song and some that don't.

Great ajittfcure. I totally agree with you. You see that both Roland and Curt have songs which were (are) big hits like Mad World, Pale Shelter, EWTRTW, Shout, etc...

They both have their own styles and ways to sing. That's why Tears for Fears is so special and one of the greatest bands.
