This was back when the Sci-Fi channel was actually GOOD! My VCR got such a workout when this channel first premiered. The classic shows, movies, theme weeks, events like Pilot Playhouse, Final Curtain, Beauty & The Beast Valentine's Day marathon, Super Nova Movie Explosion, and kids programming like the Cartoon Quest. My VCR even recorded in the middle of the night. I miss the way it was. The New "SYFY" sucks now!

Ever since I gave up on TV entirely (instead watching my favorite shows on DVD or the internet when applicable), I now have tons of time to spend with friends, read books, exercise, or whatever else.
As the two previous comments: MTV plays very little music, and Sci-Fi Channel plays very little science fiction. The Horror genre somehow took over most of the programming ... but, let's not forget, we can get professional wrestling too. :(((

Wow now that was a long time ago. I don't remember this commercial but i do remember when the sci-fi channel debut it was 94 or 95 i think.
